While I utterly despise the Tyrantlestia interpretation, there is the issue of some Celestia’s more bizarre actions and moments (treating the return of a powerful unicorn sorcerer as “a test” for her student, for instance).
 
Personally, I like to imagine her somewhere between Transformers Animated’s version of Ultra Magnus and Harry Potter’s Dumbledore. Not quite as morally gray as Ultra Magnus (with the whole “Autobot children as superweapons” business), but I still imagine as a ruler she’s had to make grim decisions for the survival of Equestria (with her sister’s banishment being just one of them). She’d probably lean more towards Dumbledore, regardless.
 
It would be interesting to see a fic that addresses/explains some of her past actions while not overly demonizing her (or making her infallible). Perhaps (in an affectionate parody of some of the executive meddling of the series) she has to heed the orders of an even higher secret power? Or she’s fighting her own secret battles while governing the nation?

Cool your jets dude, I went to bed shortly after posting that. But I’ll do my best to give you an explanation. Truth be told, I don’t fully understand myself, and I my be defining sympathy wrong, but somewhere along the line I just stopped caring about the hopes and dreams of the rest of the cast. Spike and Applejack are both hard workers who can never catch a break (AJ in particular is doomed to endlessly have her financially unstable farm constantly damaged by weekly plot points) and Luna seems to be the only Alicorn who doesn’t have her head up her flank. She seemed to disagree with her sister about the test nonsense in Crystal Empire, and by virtue of her own callings is aware just how far an Alicorn can fall. Though it seems her personality has fallen into the same inescapable pit Twilight’s did, but a little more evidence is needed before I drop her to.

I think the Iron Will pair up is about par for the course. It won’t hurt anyone nor canon really, plus it will put Flutters new found respect for finding balance in her element to the test, with an old advisory who while not being evil was at odds with her kindness and natural state of being. The simple fact that he successfully guided her toward a very dark place within herself without bs mind control might I add is rather fascinating in of itself and worth exploring with her flipping the tables on him.

If your talking about her having another Discord pair up comic I don’t see why its surprising. At the moment, she is the only pony who has any real relationship with Discord outside of resentment, mistrust and full on disgust like the rest of the Mane 6 (Twi’s whole were friends bit at the end of S4 will need some canon eps before its really a thing and the rest of the girls haven’t really accepted him) and Celestia. So for him to interact outside of her and the CMC since that micro comic went really well they don’t have a lot of options that won’t possibly step on the toes of the show writers with him since all of these comics are within the S4 time frame.

Two years… 24 months… 730 days… 17,520 hours… 63,072,000 seconds… That was almost exactly the amount of time that my “mind” recorded while I was taking a nap by the force. A long nap that finally came into the end.

But ecerything changes when an organic being called Leader and his troops appeared from nowhere. Close to the city of Hiroshima, another organic beings called Warpers, a species that are almost like Jumpers, made a base in the underground, with the simple purpouse of the fabrication and experimentation of weapons. That place was like the Hell or Tartarus. The troops kidnapped civilians from the war, turning then in testing subjects for the new weapons.

After the fall of Eko, thanks to the actions of QuasarNova and his puppets, I leaved the city due the rebellion and because my presence was not necesart anymore. Eko just turned into a hungry-power monster with fear… That reminds me someone. and just after the quick fall of Dono in his intent to conquer the kingdom, I disappeared into the shadows.
 
Until now… Eventually, the Warpers found me, and they wanted to see my true potential as a Jumper hunter. I became an instrument again, and with the time, they learned more about me. Especially the Leader. They learned about my copy abilities, my powers… and the Prime that was inside me. It was a matter of time that they started to worry about my true potential, my true self and what I am capable of… Leader throw the order of desactivation and decommissioning. I expected this since the beginning and I fought back. They win, I lose.
 
Fortunately, the Leader changed of opinion in the last minute. The order was that I will not be dismantled, but they will erase my memory. Unfortunately, the scientist not only remove parts of my memory, in the process, I lose all the power… and Prime.
 
Two years… 24 months… 730 days… 17,520 hours… 63,072,000 seconds… Time flies very fast when you are desactivated and trapped in a capsule, locked behind an iron door, inside a base that is 1 km in the ground.

OOC: To me, thinking up RP ideas, then logging onto Derpibooru, is kind of like taking a test I’ve studied poorly on. Before I take it, I might of just skimmed a few times through a book the test is on, then when the test is finally given to me, it’s-
