The fact that the number of Hitch romance and “romance” fics/pics that contains the the phrase “Getting Hitch’d” is less than 100% is a disappointment and makes me sad.

The tension wasn’t whether Cozy was a villain, by the time of What Lies Beneath, it was regarding how much of one she was gonna be; Friendship University already had implied by the timing of the door opening she’d leaked the book before that, and the red flags were too huge by that episode. I believe the season was building up to her getting the Tree of Harmony destroyed, but since that got pushed to S9 mid-way, that caused some of the jankiness in execution for the season’s arc.

I mean, it was more or less shown/implied in S9 that Cozy Glow likes chess, if she’d be choosing to play it. Given how many other little things she seems to be good at, I’d be more surprised if she wasn’t good at it.

That’s correct. Also, it might’ve furthermore been a consequence of the fact that he was in that dimension specifically, since his actions before then weren’t doing anything to him.

We also can’t really say it’s a “Freudian Excuse” if he, again, literally didn’t seem to know anything about it, and we have next to no backstory with him known whatsoever.

hm what u tryna say discord is a anti-villain instead, a nominal hero? what? Discord can be argued to switch between the two of antivillain and antihero after his first appearance. For the anti-villain argument: whenever he antagonizes somepony in a episode it now has some friendship-based motive. For the anti-hero argument: He uses his magic for good instead of evil for what he considers “good”, teaching Twilight a lesson about being princesses and friendship, but he does it in the most chaotic often backwards way possible.

btw it was from discord changing his choatic mindset completely, not because he wasn’t doing chaotic things, he has not done chaotic things before. So it gives him a reason to keep his Reformed but not tamed nature while still being on the side of our heroes.

I don’t think it would be necessary. If you want to introduce a new character, you should justify that character.

I like Flurry Heart, she’s cute, but her only good episode was in A flurry of emotions. I don’t think she needed a brother.

Opinion: I really hate it when the “weapons-grade cute” tag is used on images that are only moderately cute. It’s offensive!

Incorrect tags really jimmies my Rustles.

Unless it’s flashbacks or through in-universe stuff like books or movies, i don’t want any of th G4 cast to make an appearance in the new generation specials/tv show.

Make all the drama around it pre-release rather silly in hindsight since this was only just to be a small filler series before the reboot.

Pony Life was a lot better than it had any right to be. I’m not sure how good I’d call it, but “unexpectedly entertaining” is definitely one qualifier.

I haven’t watched Pony Life yet, but if that show had a backlash or bad first impression from the fans, then I don’t understand it.

I see Pony Life in the same way that I see Equestria Girls: Alternative content for the people who are already fans of MLP:FiM. If people don’t like it, that’s fine. And at least the designs are appealing. I like how Rainbow Dash looks in Pony Life.

If the main complaint about Pony Life is that “it’s too different”, then they should give MLP:FiM the same treatment by that logic, because it dramatically changes a lot each season in terms of context and narrative.

You know, maybe I should watch it and say it’s good out of spite, just to make some fanboys angry. Kinda like the Paper Mario fanboys.

Pony Life just looks like a generic calarts cash grab to me.

Boi, the first 3 paper Mario games had charm and interesting mechanics.

Last few Paper Mario games stripped out a lot of, if not all the things people love about those games. From what it sounds like Origami King is the only one that attempted to put things back on track
