Summary: Well, it looks like I got through 3 dozen aliases in about 4 hours, so the new process seems to be working well and isn’t really adding any time to the overall task. Plus, it’s a lot easier to keep track of where I am, and what I have not done yet. So … good! Heading to bed, will try to do more tomorrow.

Uhm … kind of? A ton of the underlying indexing images were totally fixed, but the “how we do it” stuff was less important than the “what users need” stuff, and so it’s taken awhile to get everything working so we can do it normally again.
Unfortunately, the recent and ongoing DDOS attacks have made it hard again. Some of the “Open multiple windows at once” that I do to vet these requests looks exactly like a DDOS, so I have been getting kicked off of the site in the middle of aliasing sometimes.
It’s better today, hopefully I can get a bunch done and some changes have happened that might help more in the near future.
The feeling well enough has been a problem, too - thanks for your concern :) I’m crawling out of the worse of it though and feeling tons better :)

Probably back to about Thanksgiving last year. The last few months on BooruOnRails we started running into more and more problems with aliasing and tagging in general, mostly around indexing and stuff like that.
Ahh. At least now I get why there was such a delay. I thought this was patched out soon after the Philomena transition (forgot when you posted that here). Glad to see it’s finally been smoothed out and getting worked on again, and that you’re feeling well enough to do so.

That they share an online gallery is fine, many people work together, but they remain separate artists each with their own unique copyrighted works of art, and we track those copyright holders - not the groups they work with.

NOTICE:
Starting today I’m adding “Tracking” info to each post that gets worked on by adding my initials and either “Working” or “Done” to the very end of the post with the edit reason ‘Tracking’.
I’m also continuing to provide a list of requests that have been completed or that are still being worked, along with any feedback on the request’s outcome, in a separate post.
Anyone else working Artist Aliasing will do the same.
This is to make it possible for us to ‘claim’ individual requests or to mark them ‘in progress’ or ‘complete’ so that we can have multiple volunteers working on Artist Aliasing.
