How is it bizarre for people to get annoyed by dozens of dupes being posted continually by someone? You and I know it’s for a good purpose in the long run, but it’s also clear as day to me how it’s bothersome. (Even for me in the niche situation that I like to lurk the dedupe reports page to find bad uploaders [low quality/absent artist credits] or changed artist names, and get faced with 2 pages straight of [perfectly ordinary] mdashlw uploads [or WatermelonRat or Mildgyth or others])

I’d recommend instead putting in something like uploader_id:600220, first_seen_at.gt:7 days ago, which will only hide them while they are less than a week old, because I imagine you’d still want to see these images after they get merged with the older duplicates.
Anyway, what that user is doing is uploading larger, higher-quality versions of images than were uploaded to the site in the past - something that staff has sometimes done directly without needing to wait for merging - but there are so many images that need it… I wonder if that user is trustworthy enough to get the ability to update posts or to merge images?

Should I write “Searching for uploader_id:600220” in full or just “600220”?
P.S. And it doesn’t work either way.
P.P.S. I wrote “uploader_id:600220” and it worked, thanks.

Non-Fungible Trixie -
Notoriously Divine Tagger - Consistently uploads images above and beyond the minimum tag requirements. And/or additionally, bringing over the original description from the source if the image has one. Does NOT apply to the uploader adding several to a dozen tags after originally uploading with minimum to bare tagging.
Fine Arts - Two hundred uploads with a score of over a hundred (Safe/Suggestive)

I miss the show so much

Just wait for a mod to merge them?
Alternatively, if you really want to hide them, look up the user’s uploader ID (go to their profile, click “View All” in the recent uploads box, then look at the search bar, it says something like “uploader_id:XXXXX”), and put it in your complex filter. If the person is a BP, then you’re out of luck.

This is the situation, a person posts a HUGE pile of old art that was already uploaded several years ago. The corresponding tag does not exist, I cannot block the user who posts this. How to deal with such individuals?

Default search

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
