not me tho. I’m not tired of porn selling games. I’m just asking what KIND of porn/fanservice? our taste change over time.

Honestly don’t think I’ve ever been more sick of hearing about a game than Stellar Blade, and that’s a type of game that’s normally up my alley. The discourse is somehow worse than Hogwarts Legacy and it’s entirely because almost all of the outrage surrounding this game has been entire manufactured. And nowhere is that more evident than with the reactions to the reviews, where people were more mad that some outlets were giving it decent to good reviews than bad ones, like they wanted ammo to use for their shitty youtube videos saying “WOKE CRITICS ARE TRYING TO KILL THIS GAME”, and now they’re those same people are crying censorship when the devs themselves said before the game officially released saying they were releasing a patch that would fix some problems that got passed QA

I don’t get WHY Stellar Blade is getting all this drama when, without it, Stellar Blade woulda just been another one of those Nier Bayonetta MGR:Revengeance Ninja Blade Darksiders God of War Devil May Cry family.

It’s a spectacle fighter. It’s over-indulgent on its over the top cutscenes and gives a bunch of fanservice and…S’all there is to it.

What am I missing here? Eve got a NICE ASS sure but so does two-third of the female characters of any games that I play. Skyrim and Fallout and Cyberpunk 2077 included–because I make sure to mod thiccness into them.

Sexiness despite being tertiary, was blatantly used in the marketing. A lot of game cover art do feature sexy or beautiful women on them.
Is kinna how they drew me in, not gonna lie. Neuron activation for my 14yo brain. So yeah, technically me and other boys came for the promise of booba, stayed for the actual game, kind of.

Matter fact, now that I think about it, We used to play Harvest Moon because we were horny af for them anime waifu. All we would talk about was which girl we ended up marrying in the game. We were 14.

I’d also like to add that Stellar Blade’s fanservice is tertiary to the actual quality of the game itself. It’s just that, ppl kinda hyperfocus on it because it’s part of the aesthetic.
