well, twi has immense double standards when it comes to who does and doesn’t deserve a second chance, who does and doesn’t deserve forgiveness, and who does and doesn’t deserve a speech. it wouldn’t be a big deal if she wasn’t currently in a leadership position with jurisdiction specifically relating to a field where an unbiased stance on such things should be a necessity of her job.

i won’t speak for others, but i give pyhd shit because it stars my least favorite pony learning to nut up for about… the third time at that point i think. i do give it a ton of credit for iron will though; that guy was hilarious.

While I do like his character, I also really didn’t like Iron Will’s treatment in PYHD. The guy was just doing his job, and the episode goes out of it’s way to blame him for everything happening to Fluttershy. Once he was out of the picture, Fluttershy is just like “Everything is back to normal guys. :^)”.
 
I like his portrayal in Once Upon a Zepplin way more.

Oddly, Fluttershy was the only one who WASN’T blaming Iron Will for everything, save for the “I’m not satisfied” thing. But even that was more, “It didn’t work out for me” rather than directly blaming him.

PHYD and PC are both great.
 
Least favourite of s2 is probably Luna Eclipsed or Dragon Quest.

I don’t really like the premise of the episode (especially Pinkie), but the Halloween vibe just feels so good to me.

to be fair, he’s a decent guy but he did give some bad advice. “someone tries to block, show them that you rock” basically means shove a guy out of your path, “never apologize when you can criticize” basically means ‘be an asshole when you’re in the wrong’. his seminar basically taught people how to be assertive by being dickheads.
 
i kind of took that as the point. in the end fluttershy learned how to be assertive without being a dick (at least until next episode), and they showed it actually working since it chases iron will away without being harsh or unfair to him (he made the deal, and a deal’s a deal). looking at it from that angle, i think they actually did a pretty good job teaching a lesson and depicting it in that instance; it wasn’t like one bad apple that taught one lesson but then immediately depicted the exact opposite actually saving the day.

It’s weird cause early on in the spa, Twilight was one of the first to realize that what Gabby Gums is doing is wrong, and actually suggested the idea to confront GG (those initials), but all that was thrown out the window when she decided to join on the townsfolks hypocrisy.

I still feel a bit sad that people forgot how Twi respected Trixie and “forgave” her as soon as Trixie actually showed earnest sorrow about something.

Given she already forgot about her first earnest apology and and remained annoyed towards her afterward, that’s no surprise to me.

I mean, even if she legit forgave Trixie, that doesn’t mean that Trixie’s personality won’t stop getting on her nerves.

It’s almost as if Trixie forgot her apology as well….

I mean, I thought her first apology came off as pretty disengenous to me. She pulled a pouty lipped apology and then went back to gloating. Wheras she was badly trying to front that she wasn’t sad at all in NSP

I think people aren’t giving Twilight enough credit given the circumstances.
 
Of course there are persons who believe Twilight gets too much credit anyway.

Trixie is just an awful pony; period.  
I also find it extremely hyperbolic that fans/imbeciles haze Princess Twilight for letting Starlight Glimmer off the hook in TCR-M for her crimes, while completely forgetting that Trixie got off scot-free like a fucking jaybird in MD – and has done a lot worse!  

 
Oh, and don’t even think about giving me that “trixie was possessed by the amulet” horseshit; because she KNEW what she was doing!
