Every CLICK to enter any site on this website throws me the same verification message, I can’t even go back and forth in the forums or when I see images or when I enter to see my profile.
Edit: I tried to log out of my session (Try turning it on and off logic) again the same message appears and when I check, it won’t let me log out.
Edit2:I don’t know what I did but in the end I was able to log out, the confirmation message no longer appears… Wut?

Good evening there Derpi team.
I’m a user from Germany and been experiencing extremely slow loading times of thumbnails as well as images on your site for quite a while now, several weeks in fact. At times so bad that the site times out.
I’ve checked my internet connection several times it happened, and while it’s not the strongest with a DL speed of ~100k, it should be fast enough to handle Derpi. Other sites (ex Furaffinity) work perfectly fine, and load at acceptable rates.
My Daily browser is Mozilla and I tried using chrome (No plugins), which didn’t change the issue.
Any Ideas or suggestions?
thank you incredibly much.

I’m not sure if it’s related to the content you’re viewing, but just in case, please try turning off “Serve HiDPI thumbnails”, “Serve WebM” and “Use video thumbnails” in the Local tab on your Settings. Sometimes that can help, even dramatically depending on which browser or platform you are on. Like on a tablet or when using Safari, that seems to often help.

I’m in Berlin myself and not had any issues… Do you have this issue on other devices as well (cellphone or laptop)? Are you on a managed connection that might be doing additional filtering (college dorms, library, work…), or a small ISP that may be attempting to prioritize traffic?

I think some areas in the US are kind of getting a little smote right now. Chicago seems to be periodically dropping the ball, which can really have a lot of downstream implications. At least, that’s where the transients I’m seeing are coming from.
Probably, by the time the elections are done in the US, that will not be such a problem. I think the US’s infrastructure might be kind of in an edge case situation right now though.

It seems better now. Maybe it’s because a lot of the political stuff turns off a 9pm. Like, the phone calls from politicians and pollsters and PACs have stopped. I am really beginning to wonder how much traffic all of that political stuff represents.

If you visit an image with no sources, go to add a source, leave the source field blank but click Save sources, then try to edit the field again (without refreshing the page), there won’t be a text input field and also + Add source won’t do anything.

I checked my settings and turns out I never touched those settings so I turned the Webm thing on, and that helped a bit, but there are still some times of the day where the site completely freezes for me.
Oh and also I’m using a tower PC with decent specs.
@The Smiling Pony
I’m in a Home network connected via LAN to the Router, and I’m not sure about the rest you said, I doubt that any filtering was enabled on the router or net provider. And it’s just odd that it’s only DB that’s having the issue.
I didn’t try my Phone, as I rarely ever use it, but next time I experience DB freezing up, I’ll see how it is on my Phone.

I’m occasionally having it happen that when I go to edit tags on an image, the tag area is as though there aren’t any tags. Reloading the page usually fixes things but I also had it happen once that it recurred after refreshing. I can’t rule out that one of my userscripts is malfunctioning in some way, so I post this preliminarily, in case it’s happening to someone else, too.
[update] I hypothesize that a site change is having an issue with Marker’s Bulk Tag Editor (or my edited personal version of it), but I don’t know why it happens only sporadically, and of course that makes it hard to troubleshoot.

I believe const container = assertNotNull($<HTMLDivElement>('.js-taginput-fancy')); should instead be const container = assertNotNull($<HTMLDivElement>('.js-taginput-fancy', tagBlock)); in order for it to function the same way it did prior to this pull. This probably didn’t change how the site functions by itself, but it can affect userscripts and it is different from how it worked before.
The sporadicity is probably a race condition (whether the userscript or the site’s own script creates a tag field first).

However, the “Syntax quick reference” info above the text area has been fixed in the source but that fix hasn’t been deployed on Derpibooru, yet.
[edit]
One would think ~~~some text~~~ would be a strike-through subscript, but it’s actually some kind of code block with the text consumed into a “lang” parameter? This change seems half-baked.
This rectangle is `<pre lang="some"><code></code></pre>`

Ah it turns out this is part of the GFM spec and is intentional, so not half baked actually:
pub fn open_code_fence(s: &[u8]) -> Option<usize> {
    let mut cursor = 0;
    let mut marker = 0;
    let mut ctxmarker = 0;
    let len = s.len();
/*!re2c
    [`]{3,} / [^`\r\n\x00]*[\r\n] { return Some(cursor); }
    [~]{3,} / [^\r\n\x00]*[\r\n] { return Some(cursor); }
    * { return None; }
*/
}

pub fn close_code_fence(s: &[u8]) -> Option<usize> {
    let mut cursor = 0;
    let mut marker = 0;
    let mut ctxmarker = 0;
    let len = s.len();
/*!re2c
    [`]{3,} / [ \t]*[\r\n] { return Some(cursor); }
    [~]{3,} / [ \t]*[\r\n] { return Some(cursor); }

Ah it turns out this is part of the GFM spec and is intentional, so not half baked actually:
I meant the change to using ~ for subscript while leaving ~~ for strike-through was half-baked
Well, it looks like it can be fudged by using invisible characters to separate the markup.
