Kennedy has qualified for at least Texas’ ballot.

Trump only won Texas by 6 points in 2020, and that’s after mass voter purging and other suppression efforts by Governor Abbott. With Kennedy there to siphon his votes a Blue Texas is now a real possibility.

Former Governor of Minnesota and professional wrestler Jessie Venture has announced that he is supporting Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, and has called out the Right for launching attacks and trying to discredit Walz military career

(The Hulkster being a POS is common knowledge for any of the wrestling fans here but im not sure how well known it is for non-fans)

Certainly puts a different spin on that “Real American” theme song of his.

I just learned that it was Reagan that started taxing tips and social security.

Harris has vocally called for a ceasefire and return of hostages in Gaza.

While Biden has also used those words before, including saying he has “redline” that he will not cross, he’s a liar who bowed his head every time Israel crossed each new redline.

So despite the same rhetoric, Harris will possibly actually give restrictions if Israel continues to be belligerent. Not strong ones, but honestly anything is better than the automatic thumbs up that is the status quo.

Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is on fire. Ukraine claims the Russians have set fire to car tires on or around one of the cooling towers while the Russians claim the cooling system is on fire because Ukraine shelled the plant.

It is said radiation levels are normal and there is currently no danger since the plant is in some kind of shutdown mode. The Kremlin is getting desperate and wants revenge, I think. We need to increase support for Ukraine.

Taxing social security? I’m probably missing something, but isn’t it government taking back some of the money it gave you? Kinda like taxing tax returns or stimulus checks?

EDIT: Just in case: yes, I know that tax returns are your own money. And also that taxes come from your own money.

No Social Security is a thing that they take money off your paycheck and you can get it when you retire.

Not the first time it happens: the system has shown itself to be rather unreliable at intercepting rocket barrages from Hamas since October (with the malfunctioning interception missiles adding to the collateral damage in some cases).

I found out because “HE’S BACK” is trending, being pushed by Elon himself as well as the Trumposphere. Hilariously all the top results when I clicked the trending phrase are people mocking Trump being “back.”

The Financial Times put out a poll about who was trusted more on the economy.

Harris came out on top.

This was not a left leaning spin-poll, mind you, the Financial Times actually tends to drift much more right ward.

Just one poll, of course, but it definitely does not bode well for Trump.
