I vaguely remember heroes losing itself in plot holes and being incapable of following it’s own continuity, due to too many “omg end of the world” events happening. Been a while since I watched it though, I just remember stopping watching midway in season 3 because it was becoming too ridiculous.
Doctor Who also constantly contradicts itself, but with 50 years and so many different teams running the show, How many times was the earth invaded in the last 40 years according to thst show? And no one remembers any of those events.

I wouldn’t count it, actually, considering The Simpsons is pretty blatantly non-continuous except on rare occasions. Hell, the show is time-locked! XD

Despite it being a FPS in a darkly comedic series that was pretty clearly not meant for kids. XD

Except for SS2, which was way too wacky thanks to 2K wanting it to appeal to younger audiences.

@SuperGex3: The Return of SuperGex
I think the SS3 look was the one they were attempting to convey overall, as for all the silliness the game series IS pretty consistent in tone.

Not particularly a traditional continuity issue, but Serious Sam probably has the least consistent design in video game history.
(TBH, I like the SS3 one the best).

Which means they reset the time paradox, I guess. XD

What about Crisis city? The whole traveling through past levela thing was them restoring time so they pretty much restored Silver’s bad future…

Wait, didn’t Generations just bring back the characters sans continuity, kind of like how the Final Fantasy characters in KH aren’t really those characters?

I’m tempted to say Sonic only for the fact that the entire game of Sonic 06 was removed from canon at the end but in Generations it was put back.

I find it endlessly amusing that Enterprise, despite all the rather obvious questions it could have answered - how the Federation was made, the Earth-Romulan war, their interactions with the Klingons (then again, TOS said their First Contact with the Klingons lead to war :I), they decided to remember the questions they’d already answered, and made up new questions they had no reason to ask. Seriously, did they not think that something like the Temporal Cold War or Xindi MIGHT be important historical discussion later, especially when time travel happens all the time in Trek prior to Enterprise?
Then again, I suppose we did get lucky. The way the show was written odds are the formation of the Federation would be a blatant rip off of the Interstellar Alliance. XD

Ah, I get you now.
Anyway, Enterprise within relation to the other series. Encountering the borg and the Ferrangi? I’m calling BS on that

Well, if it’s something like Battlestar Galactica or Star Trek, where the continuity is in theory supposed to be significant, it’s to be discussed; on the flip side, if it’s explicitly continuity-free, like Tom and Jerry or Tom goes to the Mayor, it does not count.

“…if it is portrayed as continuity being somewhat important or is not explicitly non-continuitous?”
I’m not sure I understand what you’re asking here

Which show, book, or movie series can you think of has the worst maintenance of continuity ever, if it is portrayed as continuity being somewhat important or is not explicitly non-continuitous?

would all be found by a search for wing
