Tagging Discussion » "game:" prefix? Inconsistencies » Topic Opener

Background Pony #4B4A
Some tags have the game: prefix. I don’t think it’s an official site tag prefix. It looks like it’s only used for fan projects, not official games.
Some fan games don’t use the game: prefix, like minty fresh adventure or story of the blanks. Some have both? eg. game:ambient.white/ambient.white, game:filly astray/filly astray
Is there any convention to apply, here?

As far as I know, tag prefix aren’t supposed to have a space following the colon, but some of the game: ones do including a couple that are already categorized and have tag descriptions, so they’d need a mod to fix them.

Default search

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
