So with Biden declaring again and again that there is no red line that would stop him from supporting Israel, we can likely skip asking whether this will provoke a response from him and go straight to asking how fast will he bypass Congress and how many billions will he give Israel this time?
We still don’t have free healthcare by the way. But they do!

A poll of Republican voters, conducted by Fox News no less, has found that the majority of Nikki Haley’s 3 million or so voters plan to vote for Biden over Trump.
Law of Averages and all that means they’ll likely change their mind, but if even 10% of those stay true to their word then that’s an election swinging number of people choosing country over party.
If even 20% or so decides instead to not vote at all then that still leaves Trump in a dangerous deficit.

Bernie Sanders has introduced a resolution to make 32 hour work weeks standard for the US, instead of the current 40 hours. The resolution also makes it so that workers will not see their weekly pay slashed in accordance with the reduced hours.

The transcript of the Hur Report has been released. Hur stated that he would not recommend charges against Biden for his possession of classified material after his vice presidency, but added that Biden would likely classify himself as memory addled and couldn’t remember the death of his own son.
The transcript showed the Biden did in fact remember Beau’s death and the date.

Michigan had its primary the other day. Naturally Biden and Trump both won, but there was an interesting facet to the Dem primary. Biden won with like 81% of the vote, but the next highest amount wasn’t any other candidate but “Uncommitted” at 13% for around 100,000 votes.
Biden won Michigan with a narrow 150,000 votes. That’s very worrisome, and even though I support them telling Biden they disapprove of his actions it does not bode well if they carry that (still justifiable) sentiment all the way to the general.
Especially considering both the demographic of those votes and the Biden administration’s response to it. Supposedly the majority of those votes came from Arab-Americans, and Michigan hosts an Arab population of 500,000. Biden cannot win the state without their votes, unfortunately Biden’s spokesperson saw the Michigan primary and dismissed the grievance altogether. This will not pacify the discontent towards Biden, whether from the Arab population in Michigan or abroad, or even those sympathetic towards them. And yes the discontent is largely centralized towards Biden’s handling of Palestinian genocide.
So yeah that’s cool. Biden is so pro-genocide that he’s willing to lose his re-election over it.

Th Biden administration has pledged a minimum of $8 billion for a program to fight hunger in America. Biden himself is now saying there will be an additional $1.7 or so extra in funding, effectively making it $10 billion.
Republicans are retaliating by wanting to not only block the program but shouting an intent to cut current food stamp programs by $3-4 billion.

Remember how Republicans had been hounding Hunter Biden and his father over supposed bribes Hunter has been getting? Well it turns out that the key witness behind the entire investigation has now been arrested under both lying to the FBI about it and for ties to Russian informants.
As if by sheer coincidence, we swear Republicans being involved with Russian agents again wasn’t bad enough, but they managed to slap Hunter with criminal charges on illegally owning a gun and commiting tax fraud only because of this investigation. Which means, thanks to the Fruit of the Poisonous Tree Doctrine, Hunter is likely to get off free on those things.
GG for the GQP! In their desperation to levy false crimes on Hunter, they managed to shield his actual crimes.

Senator Josh Hawley is openly admitting on Fox News now that the lack of a border deal is what Reps want in order to make Biden look bad. Not some closed door leaks anymore, they are just saying it.

In more domestic news, Biden has received the endorsement of the United Auto Workers Union, continuing his trend of being the most pro-Union President in American history.
Unrelated to that, but Jon Stewart has announced that he is returning to the Daily Show. He’ll be the host every episode until the election in November.

Hunter Biden had his meeting with Congress today. He was answering all their questions until it came to Qaren’s turn. He instead got up and walked out of the hearing.

It’s election year and gas prices are now under $3 national average. So Republicans are now doing their best Princess Leia impression and saying “Help me Migrant CaravansTM. You’re my only hope.”
Hear Republicans tell it, this a problem. Also, hear Republican Rep Troy Nehls say it it’s not big enough problem for him to address it while a Democrat is president.
“Let me tell you, I’m not willing to do too damn much right now to help a Democrat and to help Joe Biden’s approval rating,” Republican Rep. Troy Nehls of Texas told CNN this week. “I will not help the Democrats try to improve this man’s dismal approval ratings. I’m not going to do it. Why would I?”
He’s talking about a border funding bill ready and waiting to be passed by the by.

A fair bit.
Both together carry 36 electoral votes. Pretty sizable but not insurmountable, but both went to Biden in 2020. If he lost both states then Biden would still have had exactly the 270 needed to win.

Biden was mediocre for the first half of his presidency. Not great, not bad, but just meh. A thoroughly average Democrat president with all that entails.
Then he had a spectacular, historic first 3/4 of a year this year. Unironically becoming the “Most pro-union president in history.” So yeah. It remains to be seen if he can stick the landing for the last year of his first term.

The Democrats are not having a primary. They already have chosen Biden as their sole nomination.
I disagree with that. Even in the 2020 primaries I still voted for Bernie even when he already dropped out. So yeah I agree with your intent, but we don’t have that luxury this time because there is no presidential primary on the Democrat side.
The Democratic ticket is having incumbent POTUS Biden as their option. It sucks but that’s the hand we’re being forced on. Meanwhile every indication shows that if Trump is not in jail then he will be the Republican pick. Every indication is that if Trump is in jail…he will still be the Republican pick.
So yes, me saying the election will be between Biden and Trump again is not wishful thinking on my part (oh god no, I don’t want that) but simply stating what is being presented.

Bernie has always supported the Dem candidate when it came time to coalition build. Hell, even when Hillary was still screeching at him (something she’s still doing today, mind) he still stumped for her after he lost the nomination to her in 2016. And after his loss to Biden in 2020, Bernie campaigned for him almost if not more than Biden campaigned for Biden.
Bernie dragged the Democratic party to the left, kicking and screaming against its will in both his presidential runs but still always supports the party when it counts.
It’s not surprising that he’s not running for another term or endorsing someone else, even if its disappointing. But frankly there is nobody else. The Dems squandered the last 4 years to build up a replacement (God no, even the Dems don’t think Harris will cut it) so the moment Biden won in 2020 it was always going to be him or Trump again in 2024.

This is flagrantly a move to avoid paying the $150 million in damages from his court loss the other day, but fortunately that fine is not erasable by bankruptcy. Much like Alex Jones, he’s filing for bankruptcy won’t change a thing.

There appears to be no end to the level of corruption from Clarence Thomas. It’s now being reported that not long after being confirmed to SCOTUS, Thomas was complaining about his salary and was ready to quit. In comes his sugardaddy, billionaire Harlan Crowe and suddenly he’s stayed on for an extra 23 years and counting.

I don’t know how many times I had to explain to someone what a “Write-in candidate” is.
Even if he was taken off the ballot in every state and Fox News et al spent every day up until election explaining what a Write-In is, he’d still be lucky to get some 20 million votes.

Speaking of, Trump is assuredly going to appeal this to the SCOTUS. However Colorado has until Jan 5 to ratify their primary ballots.
This deadline puts a few things into perspective. Assuming there isn’t any late changes to ballots, any future eligibility cases have until their respective state’s deadlines to do it in. I’m not sure if there are in fact any other states trying to take either Trump or Biden off the ballot, but at least in Colorado Trump has only 17 days for the SCOTUS to reverse this decision.

In more good news, Tuberville’s blockade on our military promotions are moot now that the last batch has received their promotions.
The damage from several branches of our military being effectively leaderless will take an unforeseeable amount of time to remedy, not the least of which from one “acting” head suffering a heart attack from simultaneously holding off his retirement and the extra workload, but we are finally back on track to full readiness.
Edit: People are now making the joke that with only a year left before polls close Biden has been projected to win Colorado and I’m sad I didn’t think of it.
