I’ve removed the most Rule #0 of the tags - especially the ones that really fuck up the user interface in the history.

However, removing more of them is not really feasible using the existing Moderation tools. A dev could do it via the console, but the UI just isn’t designed for more than a handful of history deletions at a time.

Is there anything, anything, you could do about the tag history of image >>3190854? Just purge it. Vandals should not be given any way to leave a publicly visible mark of their presence, and that tag history is a visible mark. Image 3190854 is just one of the many places where vandals have left their graffiti behind and for some reason, those who can clean them up, won’t do so. If it’s for record keeping, then it’s a very poor way to do it.

This isn’t the first time I’m asking for tag history purges, and the way things are, it probably won’t be the last.

I was wondering is it possible for other users to see what you upvoted by id? Like how you can see some one else’s favourites?

For myself, I try to clean out low hanging fruit first. Lots of dups don’t take any research to resolve. After that, even without dealing with the question of which to keep, if there’s different rating or artist tags in two duos, I may have to figure out which one is rated correctly, which has the right artist tag, sometimes descriptions have to be compared to the original and edited, making sure the sources are valid, etc.

Some are fast and easy and take a few seconds. Some are not and can take days. And it can be something as simple as the description or tags that take the most time to get right.

What sorts of issues, behind the scenes, lead to some dedupe reports taking much longer to resolve than others from the same time, when the images clearly are or aren’t duplicates and there isn’t something obvious that takes more work (such as verifying a mismatched artist name, checking DNP permission, or a judgement call on quality/resolution tradeoffs?)

There are a few like this in the dedupe queue currently but I’m only asking in general out of curiosity, not for any specific ones.

If you want to ask a question in confidentiality, you can come to our Discord server (link is on the Contact page) and use the ban-appeals channel. It’s private and only you and staff will be able to see what’s said. If you are logged in and using the anonymous checkbox option (like I am), then yes, they can.

If you are logged out, then maybe - the site collects a handful of information, such as what kind of browser is accessing the site, in addition to a few other things like I.P. which can be seen by moderators and administrators and may or may not be conclusive enough in combination with the actions in question to attribute various actions and accounts to a single human.

Oh, I get it. Basically, it was pretty obvious… I guess I’ll just have to keep my question to myself, then.

If you’re logged in and using ☑Anonymous to post, they can see what account you’re logged in with. If you’re posting without being logged in, like in a Private/Incognito window, you just show up as Background Pony #____, but they can still look up the ISP you’re posting it from and match it to a logged-in account.

Not a mod but there were supposed to be 2fa backup codes generated for you when you first set it up, check if you have saved them somewhere.
