The magic high commision was destroyed because Gloss made them of magic like himself. They’re extensions of him as much as they are his children.
 
Pony and Tom are creatures with natural magic, not made of it. They can survive the removal of it.

well you’d think that monsters like pony head or tom would count as needing magic to exist but it feels like the magic destruction was super picky about who died.

Yeah, I’m just saying they didn’t really have many other options and weren’t really thinking about it(Plus the only magic beings they would know about would be the magic high commission, unless I’m forgetting something? They wouldn’t really know that their own spells are alive.), they didn’t intentionally do something like that.
 
Ultimately I would of prefer if they had revived magic and had made it better in some way but we didn’t get that.

Well it’s not like that had many other options, plus I don’t there were that many magic beings, if any, aside from the magic High Commision.
 
Also it’s implied Glossaryk is omnipresent or something so he may of saw his death coming, and planned for it.

It’s kinda hard to believe they took out Heckapoo. no really. It may be just wishful thinking but she may be still alive. She literally the furthest from Mewni when the magic realm exploded.  
can you escape complete Non-existance? probably not. We never saw her disappear or her remains like the rest of the High Commission. Out of all the members I would say she is the most popular and interacted the most with the main cast. It feels strange that almost everybody survived and is ok except four. Lastly Glossoryk seemed oddly okay with ceasing to exist. Either he was that dedicated to the Butterfly family or he still hiding a secret. I was bothered how everybody was content with Star’s plan. Star might have committed magical being genocide.

One of the things I don’t like is that best girl Hekapoo is gone. But, it is what it is, and the ending was decent enough.
 
Granted, there are loose ends, but at least it’s not the ending to Bleach…

Conclusions, maybe?
 
If all of the people the MHC imprisoned (evil or not) don’t die or something, they might become a problem in the future.
 
If it’s possible for magic to come back, and if someone does manage to do so, I think it would be better if there was a sizable timeskip before that happened, as in at least a few years, Star and Marco being at least young adults.
 
If Septarians become a major problem in the future (is Seth even dead?), would it require nukes to kill them, or would lesser bombs work?
 
Speaking of which, I think the Earthlings would have more motivation to say, keep a shotgun and/or rifle under their beds, the way things are now, lol.
 
I can definitely understand the sentiment I saw, of missing Earth/Echo Creek in S3/S4. Kinda missed having Star stand out in comparison, y’know?

Yeah, I certainly hope to read some as well, I still think you should watch the finale. Even though it’s not as good as it could of have been, it’s still pretty good, in my eyes at least.

Her excuse had to do with the possible crowd, even though we could have simply arrived early to get good seats.
 
Honestly, I’m welcoming fix-fics and will gladly promote them as Better Than Canon.

…So, I’ve decided not to watch the finale.
 
The things I’ve read have made me reach the conclusion that if I sit through it, I’ll be more resentful than I was after sitting through Alien Covenant (I still haven’t forgiven my mom for having us watch that rather than Guardians of the Galaxy 2 that day).

Yeah, it has it’s flaws but it’s still great.
 
I didn’t exactly like how they just destroyed magic but I guess they did it well. I would of honestly would of prefer them improving magic somehow instead of just destroying it, would have made a good “A tool isn’t good or bad but can be used for either” Kind of lesson.

Finally caught it, and I have to say that while it may be a little rushed, this was one hell of a series finale…
 
Sucks to see the MHC disappear, though it was hilarious seeing Omnitraxis and Rhombulus
