A random concept that could be introduced in G5 is G4’s Mane 6 having lookalikes. I mean, Posey already looks like Fluttershy because they’re both based off the same pony. They could make more! Like, a unicorn Rainbow Dash lookalike or a pegasus Rarity.

I have a quick look a some episodes and one character actually talks to the audiences with a “How did we get here?”

Guess what’s helped me appreciate Tell Your Tale more lately? Its rip-off, Wild Manes. Seriously, this show shows you exactly what a show with bland characters, a bland world, and writing that talks down to its audience is actually like. :)

That and “The Blockywockys” showed her setting up a base of operations in Equestria.

I think she’s just misguided. Yeah sure she’s extreme but ultimately she believes it’s for a better cause. She just don’t know much better.

What if you would believe Calla Lily was the author behind the fourth volume of the Galloping Ghost? And what if you would believe Calla Lily was jealous of the other six seas?

so, are Set Your Sail and Maretime Mystery going to be the last issues of G5’s comic run?

Secrets of Starlight it’s ok, but I’d highlight a couple of details:

-Allura is nice as an antagonist.
-She as a villain makes me understand that the G5 writers want antagonists to be bullies, which makes perfect sense considering that it’s a show about friendship. It makes perfect sense why Opaline was defeated.
-The episode was kinda longer than I expected. I think you can tell the entire story in a 22 minutes length.
-I heard that people weren’t that excited about Comet going with the Mane 6. I think it’s just fine.
-It’s a pity that this is the last episode of Make your mark, because Roots of all Evil would be fantastic for that purpose.

I know. We’re talking about My Little Pony. It’s expected to be accessible. It’s a kids show, it’s not The Wire. While I appreciate the encouragement, this franchise was never complicated in terms of approachability in the first place.

I got a question, what do you think of Allura and the entirety of Secrets of Starlight? I know you’ve already posted it but what about in detail?

Tell your tale was pretty much just supposed to be the side series , but was forced to be more.
But not much actually changed for to be more

Totally fine if you have other plans, but for the record, TYT is very easy to catch up with. With each episode discounting the first special being only five minutes long and the slow pace new episodes have been coming out, binging the show would be a breeze.

Tell your Tale might be fine, but I don’t think I’ll go watch the entire show, at least not right now. Same thing with the comics.

Maybe in the long run I’d consider it, but at the moment I have other plans. There are other things I’d like to do.

Allura is pretty much the new conflict. We’ll never get to know what that is or how it would’ve been told in MYM’s tone but yeah. Anyway, for real if you really want to see more of her, you really should watch TYT, everyone else here says it’s not bad. G5 doesn’t end until TYT does. Besides, you might like it. The g5 only fandom does. If not, you should really also try g5 comics, for they expand on this new era, because for starters, the seaponies are back and there’s also a new breed of them. Nothing to do with the hippogriffs of old.

Oh. It’s true. Make your Mark is finished.

According to the Wikipedia article, “on November 2023, the series ended with its sixth chapter.”

I genuinely didn’t expect that. I assume Hasbro would produce at least three more chapters with more episodes, but with Opaline being defeated and with no big conflicts on the horizon, then I guess it makes sense. Besides, it’s really really hard to produce and maintain a 3D animated show for technical reasons, including rigging, rendering and animating, unless the show is a genuinely huge hit, like the one with the talking dogs little kids love.

The ride was short, but it sure was fun, most of the time at least (chapter 2 was odd and some episodes of chapter 4 were questionable).

Well, with Make Your Mark having ended, you’re definitely going to need to watch TYT now if you want to see more of Allura. She’s only appeared in three episodes and the first special so far, but a leaked song confirmed we will get more of her.

I haven’t followed Tell your Tale that much. I only watched the first 7 or 12 episodes and nothing else, but if you ask me, both Tell your Tale and Make your Mark shouldn’t tell stories with a context that is dependable on another TV show.

I remember a couple of years ago, there was an episode from Mandalorian that required context from another TV show, that is Book of Boba Fett. This is a problem because not everyone has the time to watch two TV shows that demand a lot of time invested.

In other words, Make your Mark should tell their own story, it shouldn’t depend on the context of a TV show that I don’t watch. Not everyone watch everything.

That could work, but for me personally I would find both Alphabittle and Haven unable to understand modern technology to be funnier and more amusing
