I just realized I wrote what is technically the first chapter of a story/basic hammering out of an idea where Spike grows wings. It…it would probably need a lot of editing.

Well, Fluttershy does eventually come back with the real story, having been told by Derpy. I haven’t decided whether it’s something really serious (crash that killed her father, minor head trauma, lost her eye) if I feel like this should be a serious story, or something anticlimactic (the aforementioned scissors) if I feel like this should be a comedic story.

Anyone else here think that Derpy has a prosthetic eye that never seems to point in the right direction? I do. After pulling a particularly long shift at the post office, Derpy flies home, but not before crashing into a tree. She is so exhausted she doesn’t notice that her “glass eye” fell out, and just flops into bed without another word.
 
Early next morning, Angel finds it and takes it to Fluttershy. She recognizes the iris color, and talks to Derpy about it. Before she can explain, a ruckus in town causes them both to rush to the town center, where Sugarcube Corner has just almost burned down due to a gas-leak/explosion. The other ponies tell Fluttershy and Derpy that they saw Pinkie being taken to the hospital. They and the rest of the Mane-6 ponies visit her, relieved that she only has minor bruising.
 
It’s only then that they notice that Derpy is, rather conspicuously, missing an eye. She flees out of the hospital in embarrassment/shame/fear (after grabbing an eyepatch Pinkie had with her for “eyepatch emergencies”), and Fluttershy flies after her to try and comfort her. This leads to the other Mane 5 coming up with theories on how Derpy came to lose that eye. Each theory is its own little story, “Rashomon-style”.
 
From Rarity’s “film-noir” style story, to Applejack’s war/adventure story, to Twilight obliviously telling (and nauseating) everypony about this one book on ocular diseases and injuries she was reading the other night, especially this one called “severe eye proptosis”, where the eye itself, due to head trauma, actually pops out of the socket, and Pinkie’s story about sacrificing it to a well to gain super-knowledge, or something like that, mentioning that someone his great-great-grandmother Lokie Pie knew did that very same thing.

Now I imagine the two on a band called “Storm and Stress” with them making highly popular rock and orchestra instrumentals.

As I’ve mentioned on an image, I would love to get Junebug some more attention. I am working on a fic where Spike, after his greed incident, is ordered to partake in community service by the Mayor, which Twilight wholeheartedly agrees to. While he understands that this is something he must do, he still feels pretty annoyed by the entire punishment, until he meets Junebug. She’s agreed to supervise him while he goes about his community service. The two bond quickly, and Spike starts to notice something: one, all the flowers in her garden are dead, even though it’s the middle of Spring, and two, she’s never seen without either a cart or a dress, both of which cover her flank. Due to some accident - probably Spike stepping on the train of Junebug’s dress as she’s walking - the dress will rip, revealing that she is a blank flank. Flower growing isn’t her real talent, she merely gathers the flowers from the wild and crudely arranges them. From that point on, the two of them set off to find Junebug’s special talent, disguised as works of “community service”.
 
Problem is, I have no idea what her special talent would end up being, by the end of the story.
 
EDIT: How about, by the end, her special talent is she’s a great teacher? Spike keeps trying to set up all these contraptions so she can discover her special talent, but she’s the one who ends up helping him setting everything up.

That’s…that’s actually brilliant. Please do this.

Perhaps a fic that’s like an episode. It will be about Twilight Sparkle messing up a spell that swaps bodies with others, and now, all of a sudden, she’s Spike! But that spell was so powerful, all of Equestria gets hit with it. Now you’ll see Rainbow Dash is acting like Rarity and Celestia behave like Trixie and it’s up to Twi to reverse it!

Meanwhile, Trixie hires Lightning Dust as a mercenary to defend her while she searches for Roc Steel.
 
Or some other scenario for them to meet and get some quick comradery going.

Rarity finds out Fluttershy is having company over on a particular day due to a mail mix-up (Thanks, Derpy). The contents sounds like a gentleman caller to her. Rarity goes over incognito and sees that it’s gasp, Prince Blueblood! Determined to find out what he’s up to, she tails the two, which winds up being a super spy kind of adventure as she uses all kinds of trick and disguises to go unseen.
 
The real reason they spend the day together is the twist.
 
And one question: I plan to write Gilda and Octavia interacting. On what point could they possibly meet and bond over?

I’ve thought about doing one where the Cybermen show up in Eqeustria. Not like they come from the Dr Who universe, but a version of them is born in Equestria, probably made as a life support system at first. Then they become, well, the Cyberponies, and end up taking over a good chunk of life forms on the planet.
 
Just for kicks, their creator would probably be that nerd pony Rarity spoke to in Putting Your Hoof Down. And he would be named Mondas.

I’d like to do one in the spirit of the “Hearth’s Warming Eve” episode where it tells a story about Equestria and has the established characters (background & main) playing the oc’s.
 
It’s not a play. But there would little hints like the color of their mane or manner of speaking, things like that.

Just something I wanted to do:
 
Screwball, running from crystal guards in the empire, happens upon the mirror. Sensing it’s “off” somehow, she “wipes it clean”, opening the portal long enough for her to get through. She sees the human world, quickly realizes it’s boring since her powers are diminished while she’s there, but can feel the magic of another pony nearby. The pony happens to be Sunset Shimmer, working at the human version of Sugarcube Corner. She is very fearful and paranoid, because she has been tormented, ostracized, questioned up and down, even threatened since the Fall Formal. Though she puts up a brave face and a bright smile, the girl won’t last another day. Screwball investigates the night in question, and finds out about Twilight’s adventure. Enraged that she ruined someone else’s life, Screwy decides she will get Sunset to become her old self again, and bring her back to Equestria.
 
Working Title: Sunset Gets Screwed
 
Actually part of a much larger series I might do.

As writers, we have the power to change opinions, create worlds, and touch hearts.
