Alright, I made a brand new bumblebee (transformers) tag for the character, and turned the old tag into a species tag. Since the character is more popular than the species, hopefully not many people are thrown off by this change, but naming the tags in this way seems more intuitive and consistent. Also, I replaced the bumblebee pony tag with bee pony on the one image that had it.

I also found “bumblebee pony”, which may also need listing.

Ah. So the species might not be listed then?

Another minor case of species sharing the same tag as a name:
 
bumblebee is a type of bee, so it should be listed… But it is also the name of a character from the Transformers who shares the same tag. (The tag is in at least 14 or more images showing bumblebees)

Could we possibly add a tag for the zebra kirin hybrid? The zebra pegasus has one. I was thinking Zebrakin.

Got the species tag. Also, I created pikmin (series) and added it to every Pikmin-related image as well as an implication for every Pikmin-related tag.

Edit: And by extension; the name of the Pikmin series is currently also occupied as a species tag. There should be a new tag created either for the series or for the species.

1/6 (about 1000) are tagged anthro, which is a bigger ratio than, say, pegasus which has about 1/11 tagged anthro yet does not imply pony.

Uhhh… Aren’t many of the images there non-anthro?

Shouldn’t dracony NOT imply pony because pony is reserved for nonanthro?

Ponies aren’t the only ones with subspecies. Dragons, changelings, and (arguably) griffons all come to mind as having subspecies that aren’t just hybrids.

I simply wasn’t sure whether or not the “subspecies” stuff in Derpibooru is exclusive only to ponies.

As far as I can tell (mostly going off this, I don’t really know Filly Funtasia myself), they all sound like subspecies in the same way that earth ponies are subspecies of MLP ponies, so I gave them all species tags as well as implications into “filly (filly funtasia)” and “filly funtasia”.
