Indeed. Starlight is nervous nearly everytime she appears, even after making lots of amends, which makes me think she’s naturally insecure and prone to awkwardness.

She really is Twilight 2.0 though. She overlaps Twilights role and shares so many character and personality traits they could be sisters.

But that is where the issue lays, the audience is now watching Starlight, who has little to no connection with the previous characters or the surrounding set up in the world. To some, yes that is interesting to see this whole new side to the show and to see the thematics play out, but to others, the show is now giving them something that doesn’t at all relate to the part of the show they like nor something that fascinates them to grab their attention, thus an overshadowing element which causes dissension among the fandom

I don’t feel proud for hating characters. I mean I /wish/ I could like Starlight even a little. I’m kinda sad that I don’t.

I also try to avoid that. Is easier to talk about what you like because you are willing to dissect everything more easilly, whereas a character you dislike results in a hard time making unbiased comments.

I’m just tired of hearing the same shit over and over again. Even if it wasn’t hate comments or whatever, the fact of the matter is hearing the same thing over and over for almost 5 goddamn hears is really REALLY annoying. I don’t even know why I came here to voice my two cents on the matter, I’ve clearly gained nothing from this. If anything I felt like I’ve lost something.

Why? You like what you like and hate what you hate. It’s natural. She’s a character in a work of fiction and isn’t fiction suppose to provoke an emotional response, or any response from it’s audience?
 
It’s not like you’re hating civil rights or a sick child. It’s just a character, and an arguably bad one.

Of course I would have really annoying if Starlight could be the only protagonist after the season five. However despite her redemption was the main arc in the season 6, The mane6 had their episodes, but the staff didn’t give a lot of improvement life to them but Rarity and Rainbow Dash. Something else about the mane6 and Starlight was the same Twilight path. Exactly the season2 one.

neither. Starlight is her own character, whereas Sunset is a sprite swap of Twilight.

arguing with us is like mud-wrestling a pig. you do it for a couple hours, then realize the pig was enjoying it the whole time. also you have to strip naked and let lightningbolt take pictures while you do it ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

In general I think the show has given us a lot of sexy good male characters in the later seasons.
