IDW Thread (Spoilers)

That pretty much means every issue Whitley wasn’t involved in. I junked the whole line.  
I already got some fanart and plushes of Nightmarity, so I can pretend on my own the arc never went to shit, so yea those went too. I figured even though the first issue was nice that I would be complicit in the shitfest that came after if I kept 1 of four, so all gone.  
It’s not often I feel spiteful enough towards a product to not recoup my money to use on something else, so congratulations on that I guess IDW, you’re analogous to Ultima 9, Starcraft II, Bleach, and Borderlands to me. Oh and GTAIV, but apparently that is a personal taste thing and not a quality thing as some people actually like Niko.

Well my dislike of borderlands is more that none of the writing seems to go anywhere.  
It feels like an endless shaggy dog joke. “OH, YOU WERE EXPECTING SOMETHING REALLY AWESOME TO HAPPEN HERE DIDN’T YOU?!? But no, it’ll end as another joke.”  
like, gaiz. Play some classic action-comedy games. Shadow Warrior, Monkey Island, RoTT, Jagged Alliance, MDK. Take notes on the writing!
 
granted the severity of this changes depending on who you play, which just makes it feel even less consistent. It feels like there were too many writers.

Eh, while the first Borderlands had that problem, I think the second one was more well-handled. The Pre-Sequel also had an overall satisfying ending, and seems to be building up to the third game.
 
Also, the side DLC is awesome. The story in Assault at Dragon’s Keep is great.
 
Though to be honest, I like Borderlands more because of the setting and characters, and I’m excited to play Tales of the Borderlands because it’ll allow for me to properly explore Pandora and it’s inhabitants a bit more without having to constantly kill things and check for loot.

Nightmarity, even with all of its problems, was still the zenith of the comics.

I liked Nightmarity, rushed ending and all.
 
It wouldn’t have looked bad as a movie IMO.

Yeah… Admittedly, I miss those days. If only the comic staff stop being jerks to criticisms and took proper course of action on the Ted Anderson incident.

Yeah, if the comic writers would just listen to some of the fans’ criticisms while being civil at the same time, then we would see less drama.  
Also, I personally don’t care about the whole SJW stuff around Ted Anderson. All I care about is how his comics turn out. (In which the only one I really disliked was the EqG Holiday Special)

He’s not that great of a writer and that’s part of the problem. IDW has many problems other than him though.

I’m only hyped for Sombra and Nightmare Moon since they have competent writers.
