Well your right trixie is responsible for putting on the amulet despite being aware of the risks with intent to harm in some way, I would like to point out that she most likely already wasn’t in the right state of mind when made the decision to wear the amulet. She had been ostracized from basically all of pony society after, losing most of her valubes and getting anything else she owned vandalized, at that point. Not counting any other factors like depression or any other form of mental illness, that would undoubtedly cause a lot of stress and anxiety at the very least, two things that can impair the decision making process. Add a volatile emotional state, and maybe even exhaustion from working on the rock farm if you want, and you can make an actual case for trixie not being in her right state of mind when she purchased and wore the amulet.

As for the amulet itself, its probably not that well known. Fluttershy had to look it up in a book after trixie already named the amulet to learn its effects, which ya was in the ponyville library but the ponyville library tends to be extremely plot convenient with its books so we don’t know if the book was really obscure or fairly common. Not to say you dont have a point on that one just that its kinda iffy at best.

Again, you compared them to Nazis, that’s not looking at things from both perspectives, that’s being stupid.

If you were looking at things from both perspectives you would’ve actually acknowledge some of the good the Royals have done for Equestria.

So congratulations, you’re not only a biased idiot. You’re also a hypocrite. Have fun living in a moon-sized bubble that is your ego where only you are allowed to be right.

Now do us all a favor and SCRAM.

Oh, so me actually lookinng at things from both perspectives is overblowing them.
Good job on being biased.
Goodday, I have college classes to take care of and you aren’t worth the time and text at this point.

Here’s the thing dimwit, I didn’t say everyone was completely blameless. You just choose to put words in my mouth and turn it into a spectacle.

You are the one who kept on bringing up everything in the book just for the sake of continuously whining as well as acting like every cataclysmic event in the show was their fault.

I don’t have an “inability to see any faults in the characters”, I’m capable of acknowledging them. The problem is that you blow their faults proportion and immediately look for excuses just for the sake of the trash-talking them. And that idiotic “they’re just like Nazis” statement of yours only highlights just how inept your reasoning is. To compare the two would basically be saying that Celestia is pure evil which is nothing close to the truth.

If you want them off the throne that bad, go write a fanfic where you can whine about their faults all you want.

Now kindly piss off dipshit.

Even if it came about due to the artifact, which it did, what Trixie did was worse than what Twilight and Rarity did.

IMO Trixie is still somewhat culpable for her actions in spite of the Alicorn Amulet.

If we pretend for a moment that dark magic’s corrupting influence is similar to mind-altering drugs, then one could excuse the actions of a possessed pony with a kind of “Involuntary intoxication” defense, because it negates criminal intent.

But Trixie voluntarily sought out a dangerous magical artifact with the intent of getting revenge on Twilight Sparkle. She also knew exactly which Amulet she was looking for when she entered the shop, so she was probably aware of the risks, but used it anyway. So while her villainous actions were not premeditated, she is still more responsible than not for the consequences of the reckless choice she made.

Before anyone says she didn’t know what the Amulet would do to her, remember that the shop keeper mentioned it was a known artifact, and even Fluttershy was able to look it up in a book. One would expect any book Trixie might have used to learn about it in the first place would have included the same information. In any case, the shop keeper did warn her it was too dangerous, but she didn’t even pause to consider his warning. That’s still pretty reckless even if she truly was somehow clueless about the Amulet that she knew exactly where to find.

You aren’t doing any better you rude little creature.
You’ve insulted me repeatadly and removed any responsibility from those in power on the grounds that somehow they have no means to counter a threat.
News flash fuckwit, thats the sole reason they have a throne, if they can’t do that they can abdicate and go bugger off while someone more competent took their place.

As for the mane six, lets see: property damage done by all of them, not so much as a bad look from the twon, brainwashing, oh it’s alright, you weren’t yourself.
Theres more but at this point I’m done humoring you and you’re inability to see faults in a character just because their supposed to be the “good guys”.
So goodbye, hope you learn how quickly that attitude of your’s backfires.

No, you just want to love all the blame on to her and constantly shit-talk her for no eason other then you need an excuse to shit-talk someone and she’s an easy target for you.

Newsflash dumbass, they questioned exactly what made her “great and powerful” she answered with a lie and then challenged everyone saying “anything you can do I can do better” then she attempted to goad Twilight into coming on stage first, even though she hadn’t said anything to her. She was planning on embarrassing her for no good reason, which resulted in AJ stepping up for her.

So yes, there is cheating in a preformence when you don’t even bother to act on what you promised.

I think the one who needs to grow up is you. Because at this point all you’re doing is whining about every flaw in the series will not offering any genuine solutions, just shit-talking more and more and not acknowledging anything positive about any character you bring up.

And you don’t exactly have the right to throw around taunting insults when you’re wasting your breath constantly looking for excuses to throw around false accusations and trash-talk any character that you don’t like.

You wanna prove you’re more mature? Use that little thing called a brain and stop replying, because at this point you’re doing nothing but wasting everyone’s time.

Yes, because expecting a ruler to do her job and keep information that is necessary for the protection of her kind available is expecting the impossible.
God you really want her to have no responsibility in anything don’t you.
Boo hoo, the stage performer didn’t outdo me, she made look a fool after I tried to make her look bad, so she cheated and was a bully.
Grow up. There is no cheating in a performance like this, and all three of them are at fault, but you’d defend the mane caste till your dying breath it seems.

Changelings are manipulative and deceitful. If you seriously going to pin that on Celestia then you’re basically saying that she should’ve turned Equestria into a police state and monitored everything.

And Trixie could’ve acted like an adult, used her brain. And actually did her opponent’s tricks better. And again, she started calling out ponies onto the stage and she attempted to tuant and pressure Twilight into it first, prompting AJ to step up.

She challenged them, said she could do whatever they could do better, didn’t do it, simply attack them, and acted like that counted.

It’s different from conjuring up illusions and tricks because she was basically expected to take whatever someone does and improve upon it, something she did not do. Therefore it counts as cheating.

Second point: no more biased then your own points.
Because listing every option they had immediately calls into question the options Celestia had, and apparently ignored.
First point: she cheated. On stage. Do you think a magician isn’t decieving you for the tricks or something?
As for the challange, note that once their gone she stopped taking audiance members on stage. She used it as a means of removing three hecklers from the crowd and againt they could’ve left like adults and not act like children over it.
“Expected to own up to it.”
Where in your life has that ever actually occured outside of major corporations and marketing?
People make statements like that every day and no one expects them to own up to it.

What Trixie did was the equivalent of Shao Khan saying his fighter will beat you with two arms tied behind his back… and then sending out Gorro, or your Pokemon Rival saying his Pikachu can beat your Golem… and then them sending out a Gyrados nicknamed Pikachu, or in Teen Titans Go where Robin broke Kid Flash’s leg to win a race.

None of what she did counted as “beating them”, that was just cheating to weasel her way out of her own challenge. If you say “anything you can do I can do better” you’re expected to own up to that challenge.

And if you paid closer attention you would see that she’s the one who issued the challenge and started picking out ponies from the crowd, she attempted to pressure Twilight into coming on stage, then Applejack stepped up in her place.

Once again, they did their respective tricks, Trixie did nothing but attack them, AKA: CHEATING.

Not to mention her stage attitude wasn’t a persona for her, she kept that attitude outside of her performances as well. Trixie’s entire character, up until the last few minutes of “Magic Duel”, was nothing but empty boasting and arrogance. As AJ put it: “all hat and no cattle”.

@ExistenceNull
Once again, biased false facts.

I’m simply pointing out how they could’ve gone under the radar. And 1000 years is a long time dimwit, you can’t expect her to keep track of every single thing that goes on. Let alone a few small things like certain books disappearing which can be chalked up to be misplaced at best. And TS having one in her possession shows at least a few were saved, things have just gotten to the point where no one had seen them in such a long time that they didn’t think they’d ever existed/come back.

So you’re telling me Celestia never noticed it, never had back ups or otherwise dedicated a museum or memorial to the sacking and destruction of multiple cities. Nor bothered to educate her guard on the enemy.
Thats another strike for an inept ruler, and negligence by your own admission.

In other words be an arrogant uncaring fool so long as you have the skill, and you won’t be a bully no matter what you do.
Thats the logic my high school used to excuse so much crap from the sports teams against people I knew and myself, that It has no respect or even an obligation for me to acknowledge.
As for goading, they have free will don’t they? Their mature enough to run a buisness and hold a standing job aren’t they?
Then they can still leave, but they chose not to because they have inflated egos and exaggerated selfimportance.
And on whats grounds should they be allowed to ruin someone elses performance when we all know they’d through the biggest fit possible if someone did it to them in the same manner?
As for humilating the audiance, she drew them onstage to get rid of them, seeing as after they all ran away, she went back to parlor tricks if you actually look at her in the back ground.

Morally I agree, legally is another story in my eyes.
The lack of accountability in their actions lends me little sympathy to the bearers, and by all rights the town and the bearers earned whatever the Equestrian equivalent of a libel and defamation law suite in full.
And seeing as she would never be able to nring that to any court with the bearers being part of it, I can see why see went through with it without hesitation.
