Can you give me an example of even one video game that you believe pushes Marxism?
 
I’m sure there are a few overtly communist games out there, but I’m not aware of any offhand. So by all means, let me know what games are doing this.

I think you’re getting a little too caught up in your own rhetoric there… “Marxist feminism”, wut? One thing the “other side” does, that you should always avoid doing, is putting everyone that disagrees with you in the same bag. Like, “they all communist/anarchist/feminist/socialist/everythingist, they are all the same, they are the enemy!”, that doesn’t work.
 
Throwing label around ain’t the best way to make your point.

Accusing people on the left of Marxism is just as ridiculous as accusing people on the right of fascism. And I understand that you’re tired of people doing that to your side, but you have to remember that we are not those people. Most people - left or right - are honestly pretty moderate and open to discussion.
 
But people aren’t going to want to talk to you or take you seriously if you go on divisive, tribalistic rants. Not because they’re afraid of your opposing views, but because you aren’t arguing in good faith, and it isn’t worth the time to try talking to you.

Well, there is the politics general thread for that kind of thing I guess (Archonix plz don’t kill me), so you could bring your points there as long as it respects the rules of that thread. Good to keep GG discussion more focused on ethics in journalism/games/media(?).

Thing is, does google even care? They are too big for something like this to really hurt the company, they are everywhere: one of the biggest email services, the most popular search engine, the most popular video sharing site (youtube), their branch in tech is highly regarded… Pretty sure Goggle’s CEO could eat a kitten live on stage and the group would be fine.
 
One thing to note too, is that in mainstream journals, the memo has been labeled “sexist propaganda” or “racist anti diversity”. For sources, here’s the headline in a french newspaper, le Monde, one of the biggest mainstream papers over here: “Après son licenciement par Google, l’auteur du manifeste sexiste reçoit une vague de soutien”.
 
Translation: “After being fired from Google, the author of the sexist piece receives a wave of support”. The article then goes on to talk about him being supported by the “alt right”, but also by Julian Assange and other groups. This is as fair as you’ll get.

This is why no one trust the mainstream media. Anything they don’t like is Alt-right, sexist, racist garbage and anyone that even whispers anything remotely like it should be fired.
 
It will be funny to watch the shoe be on the other foot like with Contra points, but on a grander scale and no one will care being so jaded to years of it.

Thinking like this is considered alt-right because moderate conservatives do believe that people of all races/genders/etc. are equal. The idea that race or gender makes one biologically superior or inferior with regards to certain careers is not within the realm of mainstream conservatism, which champions the idea of individual meritocracy.
 
So yes, this memo is something that even most conservatives would find too far-right for their tastes.

I didn’t think his memo dealt with “superiority or inferiority” of one’s gender, just… difference. His point, from what I can tell, is that it’s next to impossible to talk about those differences, because the extremes have completely monopolized any discussion on that matter. And I do mean both extremes are culpable of this: one side is too sensitive, the other too insensitive, and both feed off each other.
 
And in the end, his firing proved his point: it’s taboo to even try to start a conversation on it. I see it as a continuation of the rift GamerGate created in online discussions, everything is about sides now.

His points boiled down to “Women are too preoccupied with feelings and prone to neuroses, while men are just naturally more driven for success.”
 
I think it’s pretty clear he thinks one gender is “better” suited to working in tech than the other.

The only thing the memo mentions in terms of harmful of stereotypes is that women are more prone, on average, statistically, more so than men, towards classified neurotic behaviour.
 
Why the distribution of traits exist is both because of enviromental factors and inborn charasteristics that cause statistical differences between populations, in this case between genders. How much does biology (non-cultural factors) affect those decisions is hard to pin point, but it is obvious that it does play a part in both interest and the natural high end potential of a person directly. The criticism comes that the only explanatory model for statistical differences is discrimination and sexism, which is circular logic and promotes self-destructive business practices to combat an issue that has a likely chance to not exist.
 
All the same, be it by circumstances or biology, people more interested in social behaviour would naturally lean towards fields that would cater to those interests, which is provable by statistics and cross-cultural studies; it is purely a hypothetical statement to believe these choices are mostly informed by cultural pressures. A statement of averages based on data should not be a statement of hate, especially if it is only used as a counterpoint to an unquestionable hypothesis.

@Dr. Eggman Well, one is obvious, but there’s also antifa, Salafist and Wahabi Islam (unlike them goofy yankees I can differentiate you know!) all 3 of which don’t have that much difference between each other, and of the various Marxist tribes Maoism specifically deserves universal scorn. How it escapes such (and is even embraced wholeheartedly by particular media personalities, none of whom I note are ever Chinese) is definitely beyond my understanding. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense, out of all the possible Marxist branches to follow, choose the one whose leader was so incompetent he accidentally killed more people than the entire World War! Where the fuck is that rebirth coming from?
 
@Commune Hah, no kidding. Good luck getting the hillfolk to remember to put the cultural modifier before it. Quite entertaining over the past two years watching the overt surface-level split formulate following Bernie’s campaign. (and how those same tards adopted the anti-gg terminology when dealing with “brocialists” and “bernie bros” making it all the more easier to identify them.) Didn’t surprise me one bit when I first decided to finally check out The_Donald about a month before the vote and saw a whole flappin’ bunch of familiar S4P posters.  
I’m sure if I ever bothered to get that RES thing it would’ve lit up like a christmas tree.
 
@Commune Well, he’s no Ted Kaczyncski, that’s for sure. I think it just blew up because it basically confirmed what people already had an idea of what was going on, ever since Eich got forced out from Mozilla.  
Still, crazy hill bomber man remains one of the most coherent, oddly. If only he’d discovered podcasting and ham radios. You clean it up a bit and it pretty accurately described the various cultural shifts. (along with warning regular conservatives away from “retreating into Jesus” as a ‘solution.’ Oops, now that part was definitely lost in translation)  
It’s basically middle schooler’s read of a high school drama club situation. (I mean that’s basically what an SJ/fem entering any business reduces it to.) Accurate but overly flat and dry, both emotionally and statistically uncompelling.

Could possibly even make the argument they are some oddball ‘anti-marxist marxist’ subculture, obsessed with the trappings and imagery of the 1776 revolution over the 1917 one, and basically implementing a patriot-draped version without any of the lasting infrastructure. (I think how many of them are also Endtimes Evangelists played a big part too)

Are you advocating that race/gender does come with biological superiority and inferiority? And that the conservatives who believe in egalitarianism aren’t true conservatives? That the only way to be “legitimately” conservative is to place human beings in a sort of racial or gender-based hierarchy, rather than judging people on an individual level?
 
Since, after all, you said those who believe in individual meritocracy “aren’t true conservatives,” that’s what I’m getting out of it.
