here's the thing though. school raze culminates in ponies and non-ponies teaming up to fight a team of a pony and a non-pony. it literally shows that not only do ponies and non-ponies work together just fine, but that good and evil know no race: ponies and non-ponies work together for good, and ponies and non-ponies work together for evil.

which, in turn, wraps up twilight and neighsay's conflict. twilight is the voice of optimism and hope while neighsay is the voice of cold pragmatism. twilight believes things could go wrong but probably won't so we should do it, neighsay believes things could go wrong and probably will so they shouldn't do it. thing is, neither of these attitudes are wrong; the only real wrong thing is neighsay's driven by a racial agenda. the reason he believes things will go wrong is because of the non-ponies. that is the only thing that is objectively proven wrong on his behalf: everything else he said about the school being a bad idea not only rang true but actually played a role in helping cozy take control. in the end it hits him like a pile of bricks that it really doesn't matter if someone is a pony or a non-pony because, again, good and evil know no race.

that concept gets thrown out if cozy's revealed to be a non-pony. the entire concept goes from "ponies and non-ponies are either good or evil and can coexist just fine and race doesn't matter" to "non-ponies are evil save for some exceptions that are 'shown the way' by the morally superior ponies". that, in turn, basically means neighsay's motivation was completely valid and that twilight was wrong to not listen to him because the school was shown to not be able to teach all the non-ponies to act like ponies.

i honestly hope they don't toss all that out for a twist because, honestly, the whole thing is probably one of the most intelligent and mature takes on the whole "don't judge people by their race" thing.

My Little Pony - 1992 Edition

@DanielTepesKraus

I hope they don't throw it out either.

They probably would've foreshadowed that twist for Cozy Glow by now if it was gonna be a thing, but they haven't done any such thing, to my knowledge, so it would feel like a twist just to be a twist.

As for Cozy Glow being like Baby Doll (Batman villain)? As long as she were still a pony, okay, that would be more acceptable.

That idea still has no foreshadowing to my knowledge though.

Her age is pretty vague, because she's mostly contrasted against the CMCs who are still using their Season 1 models, but I definitely think she's supposed to be younger than any of the Mane 6 were at the start of the show.

@Latecomer

I don't think she's an eight year old, probably somewhere around ten, give or take a year or two (I heavily lean on "give").

And of course, the Mane Six all started the show as young adults, and they're all still young (most of their parents are youthful looking too, tbh).

@AC97
I wrote her as fourteen but looking barely ten in my fic, but that was a whole eight months ago and I don't know if I'd go with it today. (For reference, I have the Manes as early twenties — with nineteen-year-old Twilight the youngest — and the CMC as tweens at the start of the show.)

What if Cozy Glow was originally a pony from an anthro universe, although still the same species as the Mane 6 of that universe?

> twilight believes things could go wrong but probably won’t so we should do it and neighsay believes things could go wrong and probably will so they shouldn’t do it.

So twilight is naive and neighsay is realistic?

> the only real wrong thing is neighsay’s driven by a racial agenda. the reason he believes things will go wrong is because of the non-ponies. that is the only thing that is objectively proven wrong on his behalf.

I think neighsay being racist was so he wouldn't be too in the right about the school and why won't ponies not be racist towards non-ponies, they been shown to be Superior to non-ponies in almost every way so they every reason to be racist shitbags to non-ponies and it's not objectively proven, it's subjectively proven because not everyone is going to agree also I'm not defending neighsay being racist but he has reasons for being racist.

> non-ponies are evil save for some exceptions that are ’shown the way’ by the morally superior ponies.

Isn't that what the show always shown but never bought attention too but it also could show that the ponies are too naive and confident about non-ponies not using friendship for evil, it would be a wake up call to the mane six.

> the school was shown to not be able to teach all the non-ponies to act like ponies.

Why teach non-ponies to act like ponies that makes no sense that would continue to show the ponies way of life and doing things is better than the non-ponies way of life and doing things. Why not show that all the non-ponies and ponies ways can work in harmony with each other?

That's the opposite of Zecora. She wasn't being evil, the ponies were just xenophobic and "racist." She taught them the error of their ways. Similarly, many of the sources of evil were ponies. Gladmane, Flim & Flam, Zesty Gourmand, just to name a few. It's really more "the Mane Six" being the protagonists of the show, than pony culture in general.

Unfortunately, the nature of the show meant that non-ponies mostly appeared as part of a friendship problem. And over time, it came to be that they were the problem more often than they weren't.

My Little Pony - 1992 Edition

@Ferrotter

Not to mention that this exchange happened in She's All Yak:

Yona: Really? Sandbar, name two ponies worse than Yona.
Sandbar: Cozy Glow and Sombra.

According to someone in the show, Sombra was indeed a pony.

(Also, it's kinda funny how Cozy Glow can be unironically compared to Sombra)

Comics Sombra is better fleshed out than Show Sombra — but Fanfic Sombra can exceed both without the comic stuff getting in his way.
