That’s not the case. The US has the largest economy by nearly 5 trillion dollars. And even though China is nipping at our heels with around 20 trillion, the US has a broader base economy and higher levels of labor specialization.

Herzberg and Maslow have established a long time ago that money only goes so far as an incentive. Being valued at your job and enjoying healthy work conditions motivates people much better.  
Of course, given that the neoliberal logic of the past few decades has been to drive down labor costs by cutting corners so the shareholders get to pocket the difference…

The eternal drive of capitalism is to produce profits at higher and higher levels for the owner(s)/Sharholder(s) in a company. In prior ages, expansion of capitol and of profits was simply carried out by expanding into new territory. Someone goes somewhere less developed or an earlier stage of development and forcibly or coercively takes over, adding its people into the consumer base while taking its resources to take back to the home country to use in the manufacture of commodities sold at home and abroad. As development continued and the physical space left behind by the expansion of capitalist powers shrank accumulation of capital turned from production to finance and the mere acquisition of and ownership of more and more industry in shrinking firms, the accumulation of profits and the shrinking hands that control it.
 
Interrupted briefly by the Social Democratic moment at the “end” of the Great Depression and two World Wars, rapid austerity measures and privatization over the eighties, nineties, and 00’s peeled back the arm’s length state controls of financial regulation to re-liberalize the markets. Free enterprise seeks to acquire - territorialize - new markets where there are none and has to compete against now-existing fully developed market economies in their own national or regional markets. Success comes from acquisition of profits, and when the firm can no longer physically expand it as to turn inwards to trim the fat. Cost cutting measures are rolled out to shed off what is considered excess fat in order to turn up revenues and acquire higher profits. Where all else has been burned away, what remains are the workers: aim to hire highly experienced workers at lower wages with less benefits.

I’m not sure about the beneficial aspect, but AFAIK the dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1993 happened with relatively little drama and no violence (even if, to this day, a significant part of the Czech and Slovak populations still consider it was a mistake).

It be much harder if the nation was united. People would realize that some of their problems can be fixed without gov stepping. Would result in reliance on government to diminish.

I actually feel a little bit sorry for all the lame-brained zoomer, millennial, gen-xer, and boomer (but especially zoomer) morons—both on Twitter, like this one, and in real life (also like that one)—who unironically think that cops resigning en-masse—REGARDLESS of which ones are actually good or bad—is automatically a good thing.
