So, in resume Intention =/= action.
Well yeah, I consider the magnitude of damage a person does to be not entirely relevant to how evil they are or more specifically, how willing they are to harm people. A baby who finds a gun and kills someone by accident isn’t evil, and a diabolically evil genius baby isn’t NOT evil merely because it is a baby and lacks the opportunity to do harm at the moment. If someone’s intentions are innocent so are they.
Starlight isn’t “innocent” but I don’t believe she can be worthy of being called evil merely because her actions lead to great harm. She’s not TRYING to be evil, she doesn’t WANT to be evil, she’s just an irresponsible asshole on a power trip who has more access to power than she knows how to handle.
She still should have gone to jail, though.

Don’t see the problem with that. She means well, yes, but whether her well-meaning plans work is a different story altogether.
 
 
Being failed doesn’t stop her from being a good pony maybe just not the best leader ever.

Garble tried to kill spike many times and stated his wishes to pillage and burn equestria.

He led the attempt to smash the phoenix eggs. He should be a square down if anything.
In a “bad boy” attempt, it was revealed in later seasons that he’s actually a softy, just refuses to admit it. Many children have killed in their youth (ants, bugs mostly. Some have killed animals and pets) it’s not unusual. It doesn’t make them bad, just wrong.
 
That bad boy attempt was honestly a BS plot excuse as there have been no signs of it, and it doesn’t change the fact he led a group to kill babies for the kicks and is implied to have done so already in the past. Him tryna kill spike many times isnt a good excuse for i didn’t wanna look weak infront of my friends especially when he did those things not around friends. He honestly need a lot more to truly redeem himself, hes not even a interesting character or was a cool villain to make up for it.

Discord falls under nice towards the eos because starting with discordant harmony(matter of principles) aside, his goals and his actions he did ultimately to help his friends at times often in his own chaotic ways whether he was successful or not.

I’m okay with these changes, and actually I kinda like the idea of Tempest being Civic, as she largely was just following orders. Do you really think she’s evil though?
 
Also a little funny apparently in your eyes reformed Discord and Season 9 Sombra literally do not exist.

I wouldn’t say more dangerous. Ahui seems a bit more malicious and willing to act evil or do harm than OG Starlight, who was on a crazy egoistic power trip. And Garble’s a straight bully. [/bq]
 
But who made more damage? a single guardian or someone who broke the timeline 7 times just for revenge?
 
It’s like comparing Screwball with Magneto, okay, Screwball is a bad person but she just made tricks for fame and likes, nothing serious like Magneto who despiste he wants to keep the mutans save, makes a genocide.
 
It’s impossible not making Glimmer less evil than Ahui.

Ahuizotl isn’t evil, it was proven that he was simply misunderstood and was trying to protect the artifacts from Daring and others, so he shouldn’t be where he is.
Garble similarly wouldn’t kick a puppy, should be neutral.

Lightning Dust is 100% at least naughty. She almost killed five of the mane six and blew it off like it was just another Monday then went and almost killed Scootaloo just to get revenge on Rainbow Dash. She’s a sociopath.
 
I view Lightning Dust as a cocky idiot who doesn’t mean to harm anyone but also doesn’t care if she does. So what MetaKnight said.

I actually agree with you. I think Celestia is just Lawful even though she actually IS the supreme authority in the land, because being wise and benevolent as she is she would understand that behaving too authoritarian would not be a beneficial thing for other people. I put her in Authoritarian anyway just because I figured people would complain a bunch if I didn’t, due to her status as an authority. But Celly’s the only character on this chart whose alignment I kinda forced a little bit.

Its worth to note that the characters in nice are capable of being the ones in Good or even altruist, but I can see this being a representation of how they are generally.
 
Yeah that’s correct. Character behavior is fluid as well as open to interpretation, so everything on the chart is “on average/generally”. Everyone has off days and a chart like this can’t reflect everything a person is capable of. I did feel a bit awkward determining these character’s moral worth, it feels insulting to those placed in Nice that they are “not good enough” but realistically people are just varying levels of good. But don’t undersell nice. Nice is nice! It’s a good thing to be nice! Those characters are just less idealistic.

You might be right there. I guess I put him there because he causes a lot of ruckus and acts wildly, without lingering on him too much. To be fair I only saw the movie once. Although I would say just because a villain wants everyone to obey THEM doesn’t mean they have any care for authority otherwise.

S2 Discord under naughty? Isn’t the description of Eldritch essentially his MO?
 
Yeah so I definitely didn’t use the best term there. Eldritch doesn’t mean evil, it means frightening and monstrous in an otherworldly way. I needed SOME word to be worse than Evil and I just felt like that sounded nice. I was gonna go with Unholy but I wanted a more exotic term that conveys being evil beyond just everyday cruelty.

hes labeled as what a Eldritch Abomination is but thats like a species, based of on how he is s2 Discord does fall up under naughty(kicking a puppy and turning ponyvillie into the chaos capital of the world) as he’s alternate universe future was less worse than the other villains and his mind control while cruel wasn’t as much intended evil as other villains later on done the line. Puppy is a label for innocent being here.

yes lightning dust is a type book sociopath but she doesn’t really go out of her way to kick a puppy specifically even if she never has any remorse with who can get hurt from her actions, but i mean our we gonna put her in the same scale of yes all characters i love tempest, discord and starlight but characters who love for them withstanding still tried to take over kingdoms, brainwash others and such for self-serving reasons lol.
 
Right again. It’s fine though you can easily argue Lightning Dust is Naughty. She hasn’t acted innocent, it depends on how you view her.
