Yes I think its a safe assumption to make that the Sparkle family is of much means. While we sadly never get to see the family home or hear much of their family history(Shining mentioned he had an uncle)I think the fan lore of them being at least minor nobility is appropriate.
It’s never outright stated anywhere, but when you put together everything we’ve seen, it’s pretty clear that Twi’s family was wealthy and/or important ponies even before she became Celestia’s student, let alone got her wings.
The room is just absurdly comfy and makes the Sparkle family seem to be quite wealthy.
I love literally every single thing about this pic, and the previous one with Twilight Velvet. Really wish the dhow had shown interaction between Spike and Twi’s parents. Or Spike and Shining Armor.
