This shows that Gabby is forgiving of Rarity, and that she understands why she missed Spike(different reasons but from my perspective, Rarity see’s Spike as a little brother, Gabby see’s Spike as her best friend. Sparity to me, is an incredible friendship like Dipper and Wendy, Dipper means the world to Wendy, but not in a romantic way.)
Honestly I think this did more to give Rarity character development than de-evolve her like some would say. In the words of Twilight herself
Twilight: Friendships change. But just because Spike made a new friend, doesn’t mean he’ll stop being yours.
||Get a life! || :)
No ships didn’t become canon in this episode, so the f**k are you talking about.

I see it as the end, because SPARITY WILL NEVER HAPPEN!
That’s a big relief. Sad things is that in real life not everyone is able to stop taking people for granted.
I once again apologise for heating up on the matter but I lived it in first place with some friends (always helping and being present for their one-sided crushes) and it turned out bad for them, with relationships ruined or strained for a long time because of their inability of growing out of them.
Always good to have a debate. Sometimes I might be a little rigid on some views.

This episode implies that Spike and Rarity’s relationship is better then never. Rarity has noticed Spike always being a big help and realizing how much of an impact he is, and how much she takes him for granted. I think it’s a good way to end the last episode focused on Spike and Rarity

Right, but then the authors might suffer of some strange case of memory issue, because Spike isn’t some lonely grumpy dragon, he’s got plenty of friends and none of them sparked Rarity’s jealousy.
I honestly don’t know. Why didn’t they put a male friend like, who knows, Terramar to play Gabby’s part?
It would have been the same, since they are supposed to be just friends.
Gabby may be a new love or not, but I’m glad she shook that motionless pond that Sparity was.
Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against you or your ship tastes, I’m just hoping to see a healthier relationship example between these two. Always need for this kind of things.

The moral of this episode is: Just because one of your friends starts hanging out with someone else doesn’t mean that they don’t want to be friends with you anymore. This only focus on friendship not romance, Gabby isn’t written as some kind of love interest, she written as Spike’s new friend and we probably won’t see her again after this episode anyway. Same thing can be said about Spike and Rarity’s friendship.

I agree.
I thought Dipper’s crush on Wendy was adorable, and never changed my mind about that.
As for Spike and Rarity, they were cute and lovely for the first four seasons, but seeing him gawp and making lovey-dovey faces for all these years has made me bitter on this one-sided affair. I mean, even if he’s young, even if he’s a teenager, he must be able to grow out of a crush. Heck, teenagers are often known for their volatil love interests!
And if Rarity needed a shining knight when introduced to help us identifying her as “the beauty of the group”, well… now this whole thing is redundant, if not downright irritating.
Guys, there’s difference between being in love and being BLINDED by love (or whatever you want to call it). I’m getting heated, I know, but in my life I’ve seen friendships ruined by this mentality and now I can’t stand it anymore, not even in fiction.
As for now, I’m very happy to see Gabby walking in and I hope it will be something relevant, even if not completely developed because of the series running out of time.

Nice discorded title xD
What that supposed to mean I don’t understand.
Don’t worry it will all be over soin. August 9
This happened to Sweetie Belle, Starlight, Ember, Smolder, and now Gabby. Like come on, stop with the ship teasing writers!

Agreed
We do have to admit that the episode do have a lot shipping fuel going on between Spike, Rarity, and Gabby. Which is kinda annoying to be honest.

And the fact that either Dipper and Wendy never have a relationship on their own at the end of the series. This pretty much the case for Spike and Rarity.
Pretty much, but at the start of Season 2 she shot him down, but she did it in a very mature way, she does care greatly for him, but just can’t see him as a boyfriend.(That and she’s too old for him)
