doom only had a tiny scar on his face, which he made worse by putting on his mask before it cooled, but i kinda see what you mean.

Agreed but remember how Rarity feels about beauty. To her they probably feel like the scars on Dr. Doom’s face.

I got to be honest, Rarity’s scars aren’t THAT BAD. they’re not great, but no one should see them so long as she keeps a shirt on.

Spike, not to seem cold, but… I’m pretty sure he could’ve said the same thing about never betraying her… And, well, you can see what those words meant.

I think Spike would have scored more points if he asked where the stallion was so he could go murder him.

Not many stallions with that sort of hair, glasses, and lithe build.
 
The main stallions she’s been in contact with have been Blueblood (ceased when she saw how he really was), Hoity Toity (contact was established via Spike), Fancypants (accidental run in), and Trenderhoof. Of that lot, Trenderhoof was the only one who she was going to go to extremes to get close to on a personal level. The rest was either status or friendship.
 
The illusion of Blueblood’s “prince charming” personality is more of self obsession, not outright conflict with Rarity.

I think a lot of folks are overlooking something in regards to the possibility of the culprit being Trenderhoof:
 
Trenderhoof orbited Rarity initially for business, then in order to get close to AJ. Twist the world to be about literal backstabbing and this is the result.
 
Would especially be viable since technically, they would be in competition as Rarity’s business would clash with Trenderhoof’s.
