I think that’s just a coincidence. Trender was just a designer in the show, while Fancy was a straight up aristocrat, so I doubt Trender will be in this series, or if he is, anything important. It being Fancy would give the series and events a sense of connection and a deeper reason for Fancy to hate the six pirates that keep on raiding his supply ships.

When Spike says betray it kinda looks like he’s saying bet and ray. I’m sure it’s just a typo though but if not just add a dash “-” after bet

I believe you are correct. Look at the hair style and the shape of the “eyes” in the panel where Rarity is down. I never liked him anyway.
