Outside perspective; You complained angrily on an image everyone else enjoyed, they made an alternative version, you post it while taking backhanded shots at the original image. You do not come across as being gracious, you come off as being smug and entitled about it. There is probably no way to respond to this way people are seeing you react that won’t just further reinforce it, as being calm will continue to make you look smug, and getting angry will make you look petulant.

I try to break the status quo. I apologize when others won’t and I’ll admit I’m wrong when I’m corrected. The flipside to this is that I often don’t hide how I really feel about something.

I didn’t MAKE them do anything. They saw my complaints (and the complaints of a few others) and made the edit. For that, I’m thanking them, and in the other submission, I openly apologized to them.
