Nothing has been revealed about Spike’s upbringing. It’s really unlikely that Twilight raised him from a baby, since she was just a filly when he hatched. So we don’t know if he thinks of her as a mom or a stepmom or a roommate or a babysitter or what.

I think that Twilight and Spike have more of a Brother/Sister relationship than a Mother/Son one. That doesn’t stop me from shipping those two, hell yeah!
