My mood on what parenthood will be like goes back and forth. From what I’ve seen children are like the way I’ll find meaning when I’m 80 and facing the end of my life, so I want a lot of children - my own little kingdom of people who know me as their father. Sometimes I’m excited for parenthood. Other times I greatly fear it.
 
My brother has 2 kids and has said families are simply unhappier while there’s young children - waking up at 3am when they scream and cry, changing their diapers, making everything safe in the house and taking care of them - but then there’s stuff like this image, and just adorable tender love and care. It seems all the tough stuff has a silver lining to it - after all, all the hard work of it comes down to one thing; you are their world when they’re young, you protect them, care for them, nurture them - it’s just so sweet.
