Having a corner and a flat tire alternating should reduce the drag.
It was horrible and it destroyed the vehicle, but yeah, it worked for a while.

Nah bro. Cans were initially opened with knives, which people generally had readily to hand. It wasn’t exactly safe, but it wasn’t ludicrously difficult either.
But there’s no knack to pulling a cart with square wheels. Just muscles, sweat, and of course caulked gold horseshoes.
Considering the Trolluna pictures, this was probably her design. No idea what Celestia did, but this is certainly a cruel punishment for it.
That or it’s Twilight’s first ever wagon design just after she joined Celestia as her student. Didn’t wanna break the kid’s heart by outright saying ‘this is wrong wrong wrong it’ll never work’, right?

Now that you’ve mention it… I believe wagons usually have triangles for wheels… That would alleviate a lot of strain on Celly there.
