well I know the theories, but I think they’re a bit anthrocentric. why should butts be a humanlike characteristic? other things have butts. why does intelligence imply anthropomorphism? just because we’ve never found anything intelligent that wasn’t human? well, if ponies were real, then we would!
 
a lot of aspects of ponies appealing to (some) human minds, the large eyes, the mare butts, the long, silky tails, the throbbing horsecocks, may have an analagous characteristic of humanity, but saying we like them because they’re humanlike is putting the cart before the horse. what we like transcends humanity, I think. we like abstract things that some humans have but aren’t something only humans can have (at least in fiction). perhaps we were designed to like them because of their prevalance in humanity, but the fact remains that the humanlike quality itself isn’t inherently necessary. I like butts because they’re round, and wide, and firm, not because they’re humanlike.

Yeah. It’s kinda tricky for me, because I’m still somewhat new to Rails programming, and I’m not exactly sure when the code is going to be magical, or how magical it’ll be.
 
In regards to the other topic - I actually read an article trying to scientifically analyze why people enjoy clop so much. It did mention that part of the reason was because of the inclusion of humanlike characteristics (both physical and mental) in the ponies. So even if it’s not anthro, making them slightly more human-like can increase how sexy they look.

Yet their shoulders don’t stick out in the show like they tend to do in DWD’s works -not that obvious in this one, though, except for Cheerilee’s left (our right) shoulder- and they don’t have human-like wide, child-bearing hips in the show, either…

When you look at more normal feral poses standing on all 4 legs and other more humanoid like poses only then they only look more anthro like. which i love. i mean look at what ponies in the show do. they can indeed show very much human like movements and body poses ^^

I’d say they have enough equine on them. Hooves and their butt to hindleg anatomy is quite horsey
