And fish are non-sapient. The Zootopia solution. (No, really, we’ve seen Flutters feed birds worms, and ferrets fish, and though we’ve seen many types of animals behave in sapient ways, we haven’t seen fish do so)

Lol, that would’ve been fantastic. Shovel flies down as camera pans away, and all you see is a spray of red. Then later it comes back to this same scene and you see the red is on the blue pony, but the shovel hasn’t reached the red pony but the tomato is sliced in half XD

I wish she sliced that tomato, it would have looked liked blood.

But yeah, to the actual image: my roommate/friend noticed this and was like; “Oh my gosh - straight up attempted murder in MLP.”
 
And I was kinda thinking the same thing.
 
I’ve always found these food fights and stuff for stand-in violence to be kind of awkward, so, I was honestly, admittedly, somewhat ashamedly a little glad to see real violence. Not that I love ponies killing eachother, it’s just it was kind of a step away from the awkward sort of “food fight stand-in for real violence” thing.

That always used to confuse me, and then I finally realized, no duh; seeing sexuality-type stuff on the screen can “turn you on,” but seeing violence on screen doesn’t typically throw you into a bloodlust - so that’s why sexuality is rated harsher than violence.
