It’s not that Gab wanted to censor stuff. They had their hands forced by their hosts who threatened to have their site and their livelihood shut down if they didn’t remove a post. This is the type of tyranny the free internet faces right now. Gab is currently trying to navigate through a rather tough swamp right now.

Normally I’m for free market, along with smaller government and hands off policies. But there needs to be some rules aimed to protect the labourers and consumers.  
It’s already illegal to for businesses discriminate by race, sex, sexuality, and religion. They better add political ideologies into the mix. And put those anti-trust laws to use! Monopolies are NOT good!

I will bet 90 Labour vouchers that Gab, if it grows to be a very large social media website, will eventually start implementing similar or the same rules and features as Facebook or Twitter that would “restrict” free speech
