Iirc, mods dont usually prefer remarks or comments related to irl violence even if deserved or even if hypothetical.

I remember in vent thread they warned against threatening to kill certain politicians or other figures.

Sunny is the kind of activist who would think the solution to solving education in rural Africa would be to give kids laptops to code. And they have no idea what the heck the internet even is.

And the lesson would be Sunny would have to interact with have to understand the culture better to give them something they could acually be helped with.

No this is real life. In the 2000s, philantropist Negroponte led the One Laptop per Child initiative to get kids in developing countries like in Africa to use computers to increase their education and to even code. The guy thought kids would know how to use a laptop with minimal adult supervisioj.

From what I saw, it didn’t work out as planned considering many African kids didnt even know what the internet was. They assumed the laptop was a toy and obviously they could learn to fix it themselves.

It didnt seem to help much.
