As much as I enjoyed G4 it’s not without it’s flaws, a reboot isn’t what I want, I just want something good, surely that’s not asking too much.

Though in hindsight this is a franchise for little girls; I’m not getting my hopes up.

I’m just hoping that g6 is a fresh start that’s set in its own little thing without having to deal with the baggage of the last 2 gens

Agreed, but considering the franchise exists to sell toys, I think they will always bring old characters into new generations since it keeps merchandise current and reduces the need to invent new characters; laziness will always prevail in the world of business.

Look at Rise of the TMNT and LPS A World of Our Own.

Yes, I had concerns about that with G5 before Emily Thompson confirmed that it’s a sequel reboot to G4.

G5 showed genuine promise, with some great and lovable characters… but I agree, it could have been handled much more professionally, with due regard to fans of all ages like G4 was.

There’s stuff I like about it unquestionably but it just feels like there’s some sort of mismanagement going on in ways I can’t fully explain.

Well yeah, but G4”reused” old characters while still being fresh.

Y’know, as much as I keep away from this franchise and hate everything now. I can’t help but remember when I was happy. I remember being so excited about G5. I can’t believe MYM managed to make me so happy even though the majority abhors it. It didn’t matter then because it was still continuing to keep itself and my spirit alive. Now, whether it’s due to G5 doing absolutely awful, Hasbro being absolutely incompentent, or the combination of both, everything just feels empty. I stopped caring. I’m not happy anymore, but I was.
