Kickstarter can’t be used for anything related to porn content. Yes, there are “NSFW” KS projects that offer NSFW content, that they describe as “erotic”; that doesn’t fly with a fair amount of content here that’s just outright porn.

I just saw there was a thing deleted for “Rule #3: Obligatory pony ship support”. Does this mean any of those images that are just no effort things with two images from the show/comic with a heart put between them?

Cause if that’s deletable I mightbe interested, those things are so no effort.

That’s a good question. I see that shipping dominos have been sporadically deleted while a lot of them still exist (even in between ones that were deleted). Is there actually a policy about them? Is it just a case of only acting on specific ones that somebody happens to report, instead of tracking them all down?

That said, unlike some other types of low quality pollution, they are easily identifiable and have one dedicated tag, so they’re also easy to filter.

On a scale from you never know what the future has in store to never again, that was a mistake the first time, how likely is it that there will ever be another upload-a-thon? I have a decent cache (100+, but probably less with the duplicates, blurries, and direct faces removed) of Trot Con photos from the past 3 years and am calibrating how motivated I should be to upload them or if they’d be more valuable later [or if I ought to make a dedicated TrotCon photo posting account].

Then I’ll keep ’em in reserve, like aging bourbon, for a while (probably best not to spend Thanksgiving break focused on rapid-fire uploading). Not sure what my 2025 con schedule will look like—may need to skip out on Trot to make budgetary room for EFNW, Gen Con, or Mare Fair.

Please don’t put it during January, as I’ll likely be highly offline that month.

I’ve heard of that and I say “Good Fucking Luck”, you’d be surprised how much Right Wing Voters love their porn, (Even if they won’t admit it), so you can imagine loads of them pressuring their GOP Reps to oppose any sort of restriction or ban.

If there’s one thing folks are Bipartisan on, ITS PORN BEING GUD.

In any case, it’s something to keep an eye on.

Can someone help take a pop in to the Shipping Thread?

As someone there pointed out, there are multiple posts going months back that haven’t been looked at or updated, i think the staff member who usually does it might have forgotten

We do not add DNP’s from third parties. Only artists themselves can make requests on behalf of themselves.

Does having something like “please do not repost my art anywhere else” in their headers not count at all, or does it only count if someone on staff gets around to asking the artist directly? I’ve reported a multitude of those and most of the artists’ images are still up.

Artists can speak for themselves. It’s not anyone else’s job to speak for them.

AFAIK “don’t repost” is not actionable because artists generally make an exception for Derpibooru

Yes, you have reported multiple, and in multiple of those cases the artists specifically stated derpi was OK or were even annoyed about deletions.

I know intentions are good, but acting on 3rd party reports tends to cause more problems than they might resolve.

In the past staff has done this before.

This artist has explicitly stated they don’t want their artwork on Derpibooru specifically and reporting their art individually does not get the art taken down.
