5 and 6 and wild card teams but not all teams are wild card teams. Those are leaders of divisions.
AFC and NFC are separated in 4 divisions.
West,North,South,East.

Ah, I did recall that the NFL leagues were set up like that. Just using the 2013 example above, in the AFC the Patriots, Broncos, Colts, and Bengals all came first in their East, West, South and North tables. And the Chargers and Chiefs got a wildcard each because they got the next best record. Is that correct?

I actually thought the Panthers might struggle to stay ahead of the Falcons. Oh how wrong I was. Seriously, 38-0? I have mad respect for the Panthers this season.
Lots of games across the board that were won by 7 points or less. And a considerable amount even close enough to get a tie by field goal.
The AFC South really continues to keep competition close with the Jaguars thrashing the Colts 51-16. The Patriots broke their two-game losing streak by beating the Texans 27-6. And the poor Titans tho: they fell even further behind, losing to the Jets 30-8.
In the NFC North, however, the competition seems to be falling apart, as the Packers unfortunately take the only winning game in the division this week, beating the Cowboys 28-7.
Despite the Cardinals clinching a playoff berth on Thursday, the Seahawks are still in the running for the wild card spot thanks to a solid win against the Ravens 35-6.
The Steelers were able to take advantage of Bengals QB Andy Dalton’s injury and successfully take them down with a 33-20 victory.
The 49ers and the Lions were eliminated from playoff contention in the NFC; in the AFC, the Ravens, Chargers, and Titans all joined the Browns in elimination.
Giants/Dolphins game Monday night. Both teams are 5-7.
