I’ve not poked him in a week or two, but the last time I spoke to an old colleague of mine who handles polling data, he said that the internal republican polling has them losing women hard, harder than what it appears right now. He said he thinks that’s why Trump is going full Dudebro, because his team thinks that going for women right now is a complete lost cause.

And goddammitall it’s a banger and been on my mind for days now. Ignore the subreddit name, it’s wrong and it should feel bad.

3 days till the election. Some states will be closing their early voting, so unless you already got your mail-in/absentee ballots then the last chance to vote will be on election day.

Many people do beleive that electing Trump again will mean we will start at the beginning of his term rather than at the end even though that makes little sense. The beginning of Trump’s term was the aftermath of Obama’s cause political decisions take a while to be felt.

It does seem like the Trump camp is a bit more panicky than usual—like, even for them. It’s not just “oh, the polls are close, we could still lose this, everyone needs to give 110%”. There’s some legit fear.

It’d also explain why Trump and his surrogates are melting down at the idea that women would keep their vote secret from their husbands. How women are voting is becoming an increasing point of anxiety with them, so I buy that their internal polling is showing a disaster for them with that demographic.

It is a problem for them cause it makes apppealing to sexism very difficult. They can appeal to racism cause gerrymandering, voter intimidation and economic circumstances mean blacks have a lowered voting power and they are a minority to begin with. So with blacks the gains of appealing to racism is worth the backlash but with woman this is not the case.

The author of Handmaid’s Tale reposts a political cartoon about her book and basically agreeing with it, and some chud begins to mansplain how she’s ackshually wrong because it was about [Insert Abrahamic Religion Here] and America is [Insert Abrahamic Religion Here].

Which is a perfect metaphor for both the book and this election to be honest.

Last night, Trump simulated performing oral sex on a microphone. According to him, he was complaining that the microphone was too low and blamed his sound technicians for being stupid. The real reason for that is because of disinhibition–the inability to control one’s emotions and behaviors, and to withhold unwanted or inappropriate actions. It’s another sign that he is suffering from dementia.
