That line of thinking has never made sense to me.
Harris already picked one of the most progressive choices for her VP candidate and has full endorsements from AOC and Bernie Sanders.
I just don’t see how prominent Republicans endorsing her as well does any damage; Those on the left either were already behind her or are not serious people worth given the time of day because anything short of a full-blown socialist candidate will never be good enough for them, and those on the right either are already behind Trump (so no change there) or were before hesitant to vote for her. In the latter case, having politicians they had voted for before saying “It’s okay to vote for the Democrat this time” only can help.

I’ve seen a lot of men “joking” lately that they need to repeal the 19th Amendment.
They are terrified by the idea of women coming out in force.
When men are afraid their wives might gain some rights or actually be permitted to express their opinions about their own lives, rights, access to health care, and the people and platforms that will govern them, that’s really kind of a confession of the kind of oppressive assholes they’ve been and all the more reason to make sure those women get to vote.
It’s like a boss being afraid the workers will actually get legal representation, or when a religious school objects to people asking the kids how they are.
.. I searched for an AmungUs sus meme, but this was what cam up first, so let’s go with it.
2LDR those men have politics as sus as their hatred of anime.
Kind of a stretch there, maybe should have done a few more searches, but it is what it is.
And those men are shit stains.

In more news about men afraid of their wives voting, Jesse Watters of Fox News went on a tangent over news of conservative women secretly voting for Harris without their husband’s consent, saying that if his wife did that it’d be like “having an affair” and that they’d divorce.
In an uncharacteristic moment of honesty, he even said it’d be like D-Day to him. Being a Trumpist, he’s on the Nazis side. So D-Day is one of the worst things that could happen for him.
A reminder that Watters actually first starting dating his current wife after he slashed her tires in order to give her a ride home, while he was still married to his first wife. So on top of being a Trumpist and possible sex offender, he’s also a stalker. Good luck trying to figure out which of those 3 is the worst.

Just a couple days ago she even went on a tangent about how Trump isn’t a fascist because, pause for the cause, he failed in his coup attempt.
Jesus Christ, Cenk really and desperately needs to fix that gas leak over at TYT. Jimmy Dore, Dave Rubin, and now his own co-host, the entire network is just a pipeline to groom alt-right grifters.

Both Hitler and Mousilini failed at their coup attempts. However they were afterwards uplifted by the establishment who thought they could use those stupid men as pawns. With Hitler it just took a few more steps. That is what is happening now as Musk tries to uplift Trump to use him as a puppet though what will happen is likely what happened in Germany and Italy too. Trump will stab Musk in the back as Musk is a loud demanding character which of course Trump never tolerates. He never allows anyone to be more loud and obnoxious than him.
For all the talk about “strong men” the only one who took power by himself was Franco in his military coup.
The biggest indicator of fascism is that there is an “other” that is at the same time incredibly weak yet also incredibly strong.

  3. When the news dropped about how damn near every alt-right podcaster on the internet is being funded by Russia to the tune of half a million a year, she got jealous.

Then the report dropped confirming what everyone already suspected about conservative channels’ funding, and it didn’t take her long to pull her inevitable “Why I left the Left” speech.

We live in a capitalist system which means capitalists control the money. So you’re not going to make any money talking badly about the people who control it. It’s why there is dedicated right wing corporate media but no dedicated left wing corporate media cause corporations want to make money.
Being left wing means being the underdog and leftist ideals praise independent thinking. So you will not get paid much and will get pushback. It’s just part of it.

So she decided to become a right-wing grifter after realizing that she wasn’t going to make any money by staying in TYT. What a shame.
The higher you get in a society the more you assimilate into it usually. TYT is not small so they have a lot to gain and not much to lose by giving in to the pressures of capitalism and the political system that supports it.

Imagine spending years putting your all into a cause you believe in, doing ads and endorsements on the side to make ends meet only to realize that the other side has been financed by a large Russian psyops and had all of their bills paid, with the obvious scams they were pushing only there to pay for luxuries on top.
There’s a reason why TYT stood by itself, and it does deserve respect for having stayed on the correct path for so long, but in truth this was inevitable all along. Anyone can be bought and paid for, ultimately whatever keeps food on the table and a house above your head is what one will go after.
But hey, now we can entirely see just how easily she detaches herself from known, proven facts and veers off into “Gotcha!” nonsense untethered to the concept of truth or basic reality. It’s possible to compare her to who she used to be and see a clear pattern shift away from logic to one that weaponizes the meaning of words to whatever is felt at the current moment. It’s been enlightening for sure.

It’s partially why I think a public broadcasting service is needed. One that can operate less tethered to capitalist incentives. It’s not perfect but I still think it’s an improvement.

Though I wouldn’t say she’s entirely gone over. She still seems willing to criticize the megacorps which is the most important thing. I do hope TYT is also still open to having honest intellectuals on. Who are willing to discuss the actual complexity of both current and historical economies rather than peddle oversimplified “capitalist good” narratives.
Though that complexity is also a weakness of the left as a true complex story isn’t as compelling as a fake simple one. The only thing that was successfully simplified I think is how government finance works in MMT. It’s a catchy name for really how government finance has always worked and it’s also simplified because the nuances just aren’t relevant. The main point is that MMT is much closer to the truth than the propaganda people are fed so it’s still achieves it’s goal.
That people at least consider letting the government do something and use it’s power rather than believing all power can only rest with the capitalists.
