Well, start repairing the victim-mentality of the native palestinians now, by telling Israel to back the hell off! Agree or disagree? Israel’s got advanced iron dome that shoots down missiles and the best trained ground units in the world atm. They don’t have to employ shock and awe to 500+ palestinians every time some Hamas shoots and miss.
 
One reason “punish everybody in class if one messes up.” works is because the students are too stupid to realize they could just bum rush the teacher and take over the class. Think: Students can actually run the school if they wanted to.
 
One day Palestinians would probably just snap. If 1 million killed (95% palestinians guaranteed) in the process, everybody alive today be responsible. Ain’t no way we could say “we din’t know. it was complicated. both are equally bad.” At that point it’d be a lot more honest to just say “ain’t my problem.”

Agree, but who can? America certainly isn’t going to, and I don’t think Israel cares much about the EU.

I’m very worried Iran and Turkey might actually set aside their differences and double team Israel if this keeps up. May trigger WW3.  
I SERIOUSLY don’t want those two to be the ones telling Israel to back off, because they’re both run by egomaniacs at the moment.
 
India and China could be the ones, if USA and EU don’t wanna.
 
Russia tho? Now THAT would be something. Russia, taking down Israel and putting a choke on it, just to flex their muscle? Oof.

But would Russia care about Israel’s and US’ opinion? The idea is to bruise Israel. Right now Israel is fighting dirtbags and losers. Their win-loss record is padded as heck. Like they say in the fight game, “He ain’t fought nobody.”
 
Israel hasn’t fought nobody. Go fight the big dudes, get rekt, get ego-checked. realize that you’ve been beating third graders in children’s sandbox. Russia, India or China coming in putting Israel in its place would be appropriate. Why appropriate? Because Those three superpowers don’t owe Israel nothing. They don’t have that guilt or religious obligation to protect Israel’s fragile ego.

I wouldn’t call Russia, India, or China superpowers. India couldn’t do anything to Israel, China would have a hard time projecting that power (and know it), Russia could but Russia isn’t a big threat either and wouldn’t want the heat from the US.

You don’t need to be a superpower to be bigger than Israel. But it’s America any aggressor really needs to worry about.

You don’t, but I don’t think India can project power in that region, China probably could, but would not want to since they have their own things to focus on and Israel’s actions don’t matter to them.

Well, they own several of our major defense contractors such as Elbit Systems, they’re a major buyer of our arms and armor, they house several US bases, and are a point of contact in a middle east mostly hostile to western influence.
 
So, of moderate to high importance.

Of course, America is arguably a lot more important to Israel - they just don’t like to admit it.

Ground and air forces attacking Gaza now. The US seems to drag its feet not wanting the security council to make a joint statement and Biden sees no signs of “significant overreaction”.

It’s a debate that can be had with the casualties they have caused already for certain, it would be interesting to see this tried in the international criminal court, in my opinion.

Isreal is an important client to many or all of the world powers. They’re not only an important regional asset to the United States as a check against Iran, but the Chinese as well; if not to the same degree as the US. Isreal is the perfect state to exist, with colonial potential in the displacement of the Palestinians. And the Palestinians the perfect victim because they have no regional allies.
