i’m actually having so much fun with this movie.

I watched the Sonic movie 3 times.

i feel like if this movie is fueled by the charm of the cast.  
if even one charater was miscast it’d of just wreck the movie.

man, sonic 2 can go so many places.

Good point. Te cast really does help make the movie, along with the effects. Had the film used the original effects from the first trailer, I would not have been able to get through it.

Oh yes, I’d love that. (Not sure if that needs to be spoilered, especially sense I haven’t even seen the movie, and that’s not from it, but oh well…) || Imagine the awesome, psycho, huge G.U.N. truck.||
 
Granted I don’t think they’re going to adapt that yet, because they probably want to focus on introducing the earlier classic characters & stuff first like Tails, Knuckles, maybe Metal Sonic, maybe Amy, the Death Egg/Angel Island saga, (I’d love to see the Death Egg or something adapted.) and such first.
 
They probably want to save Shadow, and such for the third movie as they probably don’t want to oversaturate the movies with too many new characters, or subplots.  
(Which is a mistake many classic superhero/action/game/toy/ect. adaptation movies oftentimes make. “G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra” had so many, it was hard to focus on them all, and they hurried through events too much as a result. Still enjoyed it though, even though I’m not a Joe fan.)
 
Though, of course I don’t think they have to follow the game canon events exactly. In fact, they could possibly mix them up a bit, or together, (and add some new twists) so they can appeal to Classic fans, “Sonic Adventure” era fans, modern fans, and even new/non-fans/casual audiences.

Honestly I thought for sure they were setting up for a homage to that considering the climax is in San Francisco and Eggman’s techno-truck is black.
