Celtic Frost re-united around 2001 for the first time in nearly a decade and spent the next four years working on the recording that would eventually become Monotheist. They toured extensively in 2006 & 2007 and probably ended up burning out in the process. They broke up again in 2008.
Tom G. Warrior wore a winter hat on stage even though Harpos was always a hot scumy mess. Sadly the turn-out for this show was pretty low. There were probably less than 100 of us on the main floor. Was still awesome to see these elusive Metal legends up close while the window presented itself.

I suspect dropping their famous costumes went about as well as when Kiss tried the same thing.
Best part is, this looks like it’s 1980s, by which point the Village People’s career was basically done, as was most of disco. So this must have been a last-ditch effort for continued relevance.

The superior song about small towns, IMO.
To be 100% fair, the soundtrack was the best part of that movie. Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, and Earth, Wind & Fire, to name a few.

That and also, metal concerts are different from pop concerts so while metal bands might see that as nothing out of the ordinary, pop stars generally don’t so it’s just a difference in audiences.

Rock isn’t even it’s own distinct genre anymore. Most of it is just awful pop music labeled “rock”. Whatever real rock music is left has become obscured by a bunch of shit.

Gonna have to disagree with Dave on this one. Throwing stuff at artists is disrespectful and it’s not entitled or spoiled to expect not to get pelted with something for playing music.

Also, no, fans don’t only do it when artists don’t give a good show. My Chemical Romance got bottled at both Reading Festival in 2006 and Download Festival in 2007 simply for the crime of being popular among girls.
I know for my money, if someone threw something at me on stage, I wouldn’t just suck it up. The artist is under no obligation to be the bigger man if their audience is trying to injure them.
