Based on your list I should be one of the most attractive guys in the world, well maybe not resources or high social status but I feel I do have an ability to gain them.
 
I really don’t have any strategies. I don’t believe in pickup lines or anything like that. I firmly stick to being myself because if she doesn’t like me for who I truly am then it won’t work out. The only thing I do is make eye contact and smile and if she smiles back then I nod, smile and say hi. But that’s what I do with just about everyone.

It takes more than a smile and a wink lad. You have to build relationships with people, they won’t gravitate toward you like you’ve got a gravity well in your trousers. You might not do pickup lines, but you’ve got to do something. Compliments, handing out digits, striking up a conversation, displaying similar interests, utilizing social media, etc. If you see a cute someone, maybe try and strike up a convo with them, if they shoot you down move on to the next one.

I thought of a conversation piece but I can’t think of what would be a good one. I thought I was doing something interesting tonight when I was playing a nine string guitar at Guitar Center and a cute girl walked by. I pretended not to notice her and turned in her direction to show her my mighty axe and started shredding but she just walked by and didn’t even look at me.

Well, it would impress me, but I’m an easy lay with a soft spot for music so that wouldn’t be hard…also not the gender you’re looking for. Just seems like she wasn’t into it, maybe she already has a boyfriend, or just didn’t find it too impressive. Don’t rely on set-pieces, sometimes nice, friendly dialogue is the perfect start. Good advice for both dating and video game development.

Kind of a fun story, I was at an event at Michigan State University for students who wanted to switch majors and met a representative of Biotech, she was really cute and we seemed to hit it off given my interest vaccine research and she gave me her email and told me to contact her and we would see what we could do. Of course I know she was just doing her job but it made me think: maybe if I finally am able to pursue my passion I will meet someone with not only the same interest and passion but someone I can discuss them with very openly and actually have them listen.

Similar interests do tend to make a solid base from which to start a relationship. Also college is a good place to start, but beware of the fluctuating aspect of it, since there’s always a chance that you might go on a different path from the person you’re seeing.
 
Truth be told I’ve got no advice to give you about long term relationships. I tend to stick to purely sexual flings and shit. I fuck around with someone for a few months and, baring a few exceptions, move on. I don’t stay grounded long, especially after the whole “almost married” thing went to shit. I live a life of wanderlust, getting bored easily and being distracted by whoever has the largest ass in the room. Also, being bi, my interests can often be applied to virtually everyone in a given room regardless of gender, which makes it even more tempting to float around between partners like a horny ping-pong ball.

I want very much to be in a committed romantic relationship despite the concept being so foreign to me. I must be the only person here who has never had a girlfriend or been kissed or held someone’s hand or been on a date. Romantic love is a very foreign thing to me.

I found that there are a looot of people who have never been on a date, never held somebody’s hand, or kissed somebody, and would not be surprised if that includes women.
 
For me, it’s just a matter of actually getting out and being social, and not cockblocking people as often as I should >.>

The living sure are, but since everyone is worthless anyway, yeah, what is their joy worth..? It’s an emotional thing, it’s hard to explain it.

The best advice I could give you is to always be kind to folks. Once you get that nailed down the next step is to be more sociable. Then it all just goes from there on. Ain’t no manual nor handbook for this type of gig… wish there was though :p
