Astral projecting might be significantly different from being there in-person, you might be able to see, hear, and speak with the individual, but there’s always that niggling feeling in the back of your mind telling you that “you are not really there” or that even when astral projecting, you can’t really feel anything happening around you: no warmth, no cold, no taste, just a dulled sensation that echoes what you had once thought the feeling should be.

Really? I imagine that Twilight would find herself all alone in an empty void, having managed to devour her entire universe and left unable to shrink back down ever again. Twilight would be absolutely miserable and in tears as she has reached a size so large that her home planet is invisible to her, and that she now misses everyone that she had loved: her friends and family, and desperately desires to see them again.  
Twilight then comes up with an idea, a very risky one that might or might not even work as she channels her Magic.
 
Back down in Equestria, only a few months have passed since Twilight put their world into its protective bubble and was promoted by the people into a Goddess, and we focus in Spike kneeling before a statue of Twilight in prayer, asking not for wealth or power, but crying. Luna and the others approach Spike wondering what it is he is crying about, their planet is safe and protected and has managed to experience its true lasting peace and unity thanks to Twilight, but he doesn’t want that at all, the reason he is crying is because he really misses his Mom: Twilight had grown so big so quickly that he was left behind, alone in the world without her to be with, and he knows that his prayers will never be able to reach Twilight ever because he is too small.  
Luna starts to feel an itch in her mane as she, Shining Armor, Cadence, Flurry Heart, The Mane Five, Celestia, And Starlight all gather around to try and help comfort Spike, only to one-by-one start to fail at this and fall to tears now that Twilight was essentially gone forever. The itching sensation jn Lunas’ mane gets worse and worse still as Night Light and Twilight Velvet arrive with Moondancer who had tried to find a way to create a reversal spell to put on Twilight, the parents being desperate to want to hold their daughter once again. The itching becomes completely unbearable as Luna feels something crawling around as a purple hoof suddenly erupts from the cascading nebula that is her mane, a purple hoof that slowly pulls itself through to reveal it was a purple unicorn with a thick long neck and powerful tree trunk legs and a regal horn. Everyone is speechless at this revelation for a moment, only to have it be broken by Spike crying out and smiling as he runs forward to tackle Twilight Sparkle to the ground and give his mom a powerful hug, saying that his wish came true. Twilight smiles warmly as she carefully wraps her hooves around her precious baby boy, for the first time to what felt like millions of years the touch of another being as Mother and Son were allowed their moment together as the others all screamed in excitement now that Twilight has returned to them again.  
Twilight told them how she managed to get back home again after devouring the rest of the lifeless universe that their world was a part of, she shed all of her energy to create a wormhole leading directly through Lunas mane and flew through it: the resulting power that she had sacrificed to do this having created a new Big Bang in the process as a new Universe was being born all around them, the protective bubble that she had created being strong enough to tank the entirety of its blast that she wasn’t worried if it would be destroyed in the process of the Genesis of this new Universe. Spike is worried if this just means that Twilight would want to grow big again to try and devour this new universe she had created. Only to have Twilight boop her son on the snout and say that she is now done with growing forever, she would rather spend her time back here in Equestria with all her friends and family as they watch the wonders of her new universe slowly unfold all around them.  
Later that night, Twilight walks into bed as she levitates Spike over to sleep with her in the larger bed together as they hug and snuggle their way into a sweet dream together as we cut to the outside of the bubble to see Equus and the magic necklace its part of adrift inside of the new universe.
