Completely ignoring the part where I acknowledge the limited relevance of science in deference to in-universe lore and chronology. (DING!) Also, telling an astrophysicist to not astrophysics. (DING!)
The story I think this is based on has Twi eating both a Hypergiant and a Black hole describing them tasting like Vanilla with a hint of Strawberry and Black Licorice (cause of course it would)
Applying science to a comic where a unicorn casts a spell on herself that makes grow uncontrollably every time she eats anything, getting to the point where she ATE THE SUN and is now currently bigger then her solar system with full intent to keep getting even bigger. (DING!)
Size isn’t everything. Red giants grow to such sizes because of greater radiation pressure from a hydrogen-burning shell around a degenerate core; their masses are typically similar to that of the Sun. Mass is what she should be after: a few star clusters would be a good place to start. Of course, if her density remained constant as her size increased, she would already be a black hole. Since that doesn’t seem to be an issue here, black holes might actually be on the menu.
O yeah… red giant stars are a thing… imagine if Twilight ate one of those…
Well to be fair Our Sun isnt even the Largest Star in our own Galaxy, and our whole Solar system us the size of Some Stars
You know what would make her bigger? Her finding a eating a supernova, she’s still TINY compared to a galaxy a supernova would be a good start to overcomeing the size difference.
She eats Solar Systems like Popcorn, and then Galaxies the same way
And another and another and ANOTHER, each one making her grow, and grow, and GROWWWWWWWWWWWWW until she’s bigger then her home galaxy.
“O look, more solar systems to act as GROWTH FUEL!” Licks lips “I wonder what the flavor of planets and stars mixed together is like?”
“And it just so happens that another Solar system is just to the Everywhere around me” also Twilight… probably
