True… I didn’t get much more than 20 chapters into Project Horizons before I gave up in reading it, and I can easily say that P-21 was my least favorite, and Glory my favorite.

Honestly the main problem with the community is that right now, it is segregated as all heck. You have all kinds of forums trying to keep the spark of FoE alive, you have pages on FB trying to do the same thing, then there is the Reddit folk and I heard there are some folks on the “official” Discord for FoE, but the Discord community is even more split up due to extreme levels of eliticism and everyone kissing everyone´s buttocks.

I’m probably the most active person in the community right now, and the most I’ve contributed is unfinished beta textures for Puppysmiles (actually, if I could just make her suit I could kick her out the door right now, but considering my model-making skill that’s wishful thinking right now…)

Been quite a ride though. I am glad I was on this train since like chapter 20 or so of the original.
 
I hope that the story I am helping to edit, FoE: Wildest Dreams, is gonna get at least like 50 people checking it out at some point. Most likely not, but that is the area of satisfaction to me.

The only one unfinished is Heroes… And its author seems to just be plain gone. And Brainiac is the only active artist, it seems. Subterranean Pacifism may very well be the finale. Who knows if Ashes of Equestria will ever finish. Or the sidescroller. Or my RPG Maker game. I don’t even have graphics for it. There’s a thread but it’s mostly me and TimidFluttershy talking about whatever’s on my mind. Yeah, I think it’s dying…

I do not think anything is gonna make it into Big5 at this point since the FoE fandom is dying at best these days. I mean, most of the Big5 are finished and the smaller fics are either finished too or they are not getting any traction.

Also, if I ever get Subterranean Pacifism published, I doubt it’ll be Big 5 material. However, I’m kind of writing it that way anyway, because the Big 5 needs another pegasus.

The FoE fics? Beats me, I know PH started somewhere before the original story was even half done. Pink Eyes was started somewhere between that. No idea about Heroes. Murky Number Seven is the youngest of the Big5.
 
For games? FO1, FO2, Tactics, Brotherhood, FO3, FO:NV, Shelter and FO4.

Well to be honest, Cupcakes and RF are short, not really creating much world-building.
 
As meme worthy as FoE sometimes is, at least it created a functional, legit universe based on Fallout. Heck, story-wise, the plot of most FoE fics is better than in any modern Fallout. Then again, FoE are books while FO3, Vegas and FO4 are games, so FoE automatically has higher chance of a good story.

Yup, there’s Homelands, which is about set a few years after PH and has Scotch Tape, Pythia and Majina traveling to the Zebra Lands, and there’s also Speak, in which Blackjack gets some therapy.

Biggest FoE story? Started being written very early on? Well-written characters? It is easy to identify with some of the characters? Action-packed story with deep world-building? Actually got a sequel, two actually, compared to the original, which makes it more worth the reader´s time? One of the best portrayals of insanity of the main character since Lovecraft?

Okay, there has to be some reason PH gets a lot of focus. This phenomenon is really in need of scientific study…
