I mean it happened before with Sunset. Zero advertisement whatsoever going into Rainbow Rocks, only for that movie to turn her into main character of the spin off.
 
But I doubt they’ll do the same with Glimmer here.

There’s literally no way she would. Every single major advertisement has focused on the Mane 6 and the new characters. And even the minor stuff has only Celestia and Cadence thrown in.
 
Anyone who seriously believes she’s going to somehow steal the movie is a bitter husk of a human grasping at straws for reasons to be pre-emptively mad and rain on our parades or a troll trying to stir the pot because they have nothing better to do with their lives.
