The truth hurts, get used to it.
“All the mods mod all the mods” means everyone already knows what everyone else is doing, therefore you do not need to report them.
Your not being nice, again yes or no
Given some of the things that you’ve misinterpreted as insults in the past, maybe you should sit out the whole “judging others” deal.
That doesn’t answermy question? Should we report if any of the mods or assistance insult someone in the comment’s section, yes or no?
All the mods mod all the mods, and the mods are always watching.
Always.
If a mod insults the other person because the other person is misbehaving, then do we report or the mod or site assistant?
Ya got me, whatever.
Can incestual relationships be genuine? Yes. Do I support them? I’m certainly not going to approve of them, but i will not deny them rights.
Still, I don’t care what other’s fetishes are. If you get off to that, more power to you. I dont agree with incest for biological reasons. Not because it produces the same traits in offspring. I’m not even sure how to explain it off the top of my head. Something something two similar immune systems gets you weak sex that lacks in sensuality. But different immune systems in two engaging parties produces better more sensual intercourse due to the chance of better traits being passed down.
I’m not saying the edit is a bad thing even though I think it’s distasteful, nor was it a personal attack on me.
The fact that it was unauthorized and done without Evomanaphy or I’s knowledge to me says that they don’t care about disrespecting an artist and possibly hurting their reputation for commissions.
Most sites have a DNP list for artists that do not want their works posted on different sites.
But some flat out ignore an artist’s request to be put on a DNP list and instead mock them.
Example :
There’s an edit of that one floating around somewhere. But when that artist requested it to be deleted the site moderators ignored her.
Anyone else would condemn such behavior, but in this fandom it seems to be praised
Why is that?
I don’t think Hasbro wants a ton of drama, and they realize it would be futile to try and stop it. So they’ve turned a blind eye to fan arts and R34.
@Background Pony #C5BA
“It’s all about me and my feelings and no one else matters, ever.”
k. Got it. Appeal to emotion fallacy.
In relation to @Background Pony #4EF0 ‘s comment, to imply that incestual relationships cannot ever be loving in nature is disingenuous at best, and completely ignorant at worst.
Edits may happen whether you want them to or not. It’s in your best interest to not let it bother you. Unless you’re the artist (who might be worried about their reputation of what they draw and do not want to be associated with certain subjects), you need to just block/ignore it and move on.
Slippery slope fallacy. Also, there is a system in place for that on derpi. Lastly, you say that as if it’s a bad thing for edits to exist. If Hasbro had their way, there’d be no porn of their IP that is MLP. They wouldn’t be okay with having their characters committing the lascivious acts that they get drawn in daily, and I’m pretty sure that heavily extends into the more fetishy/obscene images. It’s not harming anyone to have the Big Mac edit exist, and I highly doubt it’s a personal attack against you. You’re the only one letting it bother you, and I don’t see anyone else complaining about the edit. As to why Hasbro does nothing about the R34, it can easily be speculated that they turn a blind eye for 3 reasons to start with: it’d be bad PR if they did, it’s free advertising (which promotes their product in a sense), and there’s hardly any stopping R34.
I like commissioning cute stuff, and things that convey a lot of emotion.
As I said before, the reason AJ is my favorite is because of some deeply personal stuff. If I told everyone, I’m sure anyone with sense would understand why. But this is not the best place to do so because that would also leave the door open for even nastier things than I’ve already had hurled at me. But anyways, thanks for that. Makes me happy hearing that others can see that.
@CoyoteCrow4
I can see what you mean. But it’s actually a sigil that I made to represent a bunch of things. It is the symbol of a fruit, to me. Just it’s not a tangible fruit.
Sorry if it’s bothersome to get yet another comment, but I just had to mention how pleasantly surprising I found it to look through your OC’s images here on Derpi
The cuteness, the romance, the feeling of love and deep appreciation, the content smiles, the playful silliness, the snuggles…it’s beautiful, simply lovely
I ship it!
This one specifically looks kinda like one of the incarnations of Erzulie, Loa of love and beauty, not unlike Venus or Aphrodite.
The edit tag is there because this one is the animated version :p
I don’t care much about people’s preferences. To me, the incestual stereotype is a huge turn off to me because of where I live and how others throw it around.
The south isn’t a bed of inbreds. And in fact, the place I’m from is right behind silicon valley when it comes to the population of engineers.
I personally do not want my images edited into incestual ones, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing to ask for.
The big thing about the edit though is that it opens up a box of trouble if it persists.
If one image is exploited, and nothing is done about it, then it allows for more images to be edited against their owner’s wishes. Which would then lead to a lot of unhappy artists and users. And drama. We don’t want that.
If this is the original then can we lose the ‘edit’ tag?
This comment is to clear up any misconceptions you may (and appear to) have had.
I’m among the group who would’ve preferred the Big Mac version, and I’ll tell you why.
I have little problem with OCs. I (and others) might have an issue with an OC x Canon pairing, depending on what OC it is. It mostly comes down to how it looks. In some cases, the OC’s personality (if it ever gets that far, which it hardly does) is what puts me (and others) off.
Meanwhile, I find Big Mac very attractive. Both in the color sense, and sex appeal department. Plain and simple. It also helps that I know who Big Mac is, whereas I (and likely everyone else) doesn’t know who your OC is at all. I’m sure nearly everyone (besides those who follow the “canon x canon only” rule) is in this boat for one of these reasons. If there’s another reason, I don’t know it.
Edited because: expansion and fix
and to confirm it: yes this one is the original version, the one with the purple mane and question mark cutie mark was because the commissioner didn’t want to have his OC spread around in the internet on porn pictures.
And the incest edit of this picture was indeed done without my permission and not even a good edit, I wasn’t amused about it either. Anyways, I finally got it taken down from e621, still need to figure out how to do it on the other pages with my little amouth of free time.
Yaaaaaay~ I’m a good
petuser! c:No you’re good. I was referring to the arguments and namecalling below ya.
Everypony? Even me?
Am i a good user? Arcaire-senpai? Or did i failed?
If this continues I’m gonna have to encourage y’all to take it to the “you’re banned” page. We clear?
If something violates the rules, report it. If it violates your sense of taste, deal with it.
Rule #0, Rule #n. Y’all read and hear about these daily.
Edited
Lol, i actually found another version but this one has purple mane! WTF xDD
I said that for two reasons. One, because you’re helping to spread around something that you really don’t like. And that’s silly of you, so I pointed it out. Two, because if I was reading these comments and didn’t know about the edit, then I’d appreciate someone else making it as easy as possible for me to find it. I’m not going to directly link to an image that is forbidden by Derpi’s rules, but I can (apparently) say how to find it.
Spitefulness can definitely be petty, yes. You are again assigning descriptions and motivations to me. Perhaps this is another thing that I will have to agree to disagree with someone about.
Your point about the Southern stereotype is a fair one. I hadn’t considered that the content of the edit, rather than just the existence of the edit itself, would bother you. If it’s just incest in general that bothers you, I can’t really say anything in reply to that. There is one argument I’d make about that pairing in particular, though.
I don’t think it’s about the stereotype. A quick search for “applejack, incest, explicit” yields significantly fewer results than “twilight sparkle, incest, explicit”. This is a very rough estimate and has issues as a metric because there’s also a lot more porn of Twilight Sparkle than Applejack, but I’d also argue that Big Mac’s been around for nearly two seasons more than Shining Armor, and so has had a lot more time to generate pornography than him. Anyway, my point is, there’s a shitload of pony incest porn, and I don’t think it has a disproportionate concentration around AJ because of a stereotype. Again, I could be wrong, and if it’s incest in general and not just the stereotype that bothers you, I suppose this is all irrelevant.
Thank you for answering my question. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to be annoyed by this. It is a little unreasonable to expect other people to not edit things because of how you feel about it, though. Think about this: People involved in making the show have expressed discomfort with pony porn being made. These are people that I greatly respect and am indebted to, and their feelings have not stopped me from jerking it to pony porn all the time. At the end of the day, while I don’t wish distress upon them, their preferences about it don’t matter to me at all because I don’t think anyone can tell others how or what to draw, or to edit.
“Thanks for pointing me to Paheal, where a quick search for “evomanaphy” led me to the edit with Big Mac. Time to fap!”
Why say that? Were you trying to get me worked up? Sure seemed that way. That was a poor attempt. Spitefulness is rather petty, i would say.
You want a sincere answer with this one, so here it is. It is rather annoying knowing that someone took an image that I paid good money for and turned it into something I find deplorable. Seeing that I’m from the South, the incestuous stereotype isn’t one I’m fond of. So yes, it has ruined it in a way to me. Because as I look at my original, I remember that the edit exists and how distasteful it is. Not to mention that my affinity for AJ is not just some obsession. It’s much more a patch over an old wound. I’m not going to explain, it’s personal stuff, and going public with it would only lead to more sour and despicably insensitive comments than I’ve encountered already.
Calling me petty repeatedly doesn’t make it so. Is the name-calling necessary?
>illegal
More or less illegal than a paid commission involving an IP that you don’t own?
>Seriously, commission your own porn and leave others to their own
I did say that you were free to commission porn like this. I would never tell you that you can’t. Does the edit in question prevent you from enjoying this artwork? Sincere question.
@Background Pony #9AAD
>triggered
I haven’t seen anyone claiming to be “triggered” here. Could you point out specifically which people you feel have been “triggered” in these comments?
As for intrusiveness, I think we’ll have to agree to disagree here.
>SJW-esque
What does this even mean? Seriously. In what way are people commenting here like SJWs?
