I don’t understand why people think Sombra is a horrible villain because of his lack of screentime.  
Mammon from Constantine only had one scene and his only line was “angela” yet he is a good villain because of the situation he places everybody in by his presence rather than his physical appearances

Sombra could be replaced by a natural disaster and almost nothing would change. Hell, a natural disaster would have likely knocked over a few buildings. We’ve been told he’s supposed to be modeled after Sauron, but if that’s true I doubt McCarthy has even touched the freaking books.

It hasn’t come up for awhile so I almost hesitate to post this, but goddamn it can we please stop it with the Fluttershy is a tree jokes? It was kinda cute at first but has rapidly become really damn annoying.

Discord is overrated among the villains as Luna is with the princesses. The fandom always jizzes over him when he appears and it’s like ugh.

That’s probably because out of all the villains he:
 
  • had the most personality  
  • came the closest to reaching his goal  
  • was the psychologically threatening  
  • has a prominent (and extremely talented) voice actor portraying him  
  • is funny without detracting from his villainous or antagonistic persona  
  • is not a walking talking villain stereotype like most of the other MLP villains

That’s probably because out of all the villains he:
  • had the most personality
  • came the closest to reaching his goal
  • was the psychologically threatening
  • has a prominent (and extremely talented) voice actor portraying him
  • is funny without detracting from his villainous or antagonistic persona
    - is not a walking talking villain stereotype like most of the other MLP villains
 
he kinda was  
and like Nightmare Moon and Chrysalis, Discord lost because of his own ego, he didn’t take the Mane 6 seriously at all.

True. BUT:
 
  • He was not evil in a “MU-WHA-HA-HA I’M SO EVIL”~~way but rather in a “I don’t give a damn, I do what I want”-way  
    ~~ He was not stereotypically designed in a black-ish colour scheme  
  • He was playful and giddy all the way through  
  • Totally would have succeeded if not for that admittedly completely stupid moment at the end of the episode  
  • Had a concise and intelligent plan on how to achieve his goal (in contrast to Nightmare Moon and Chrysalis)

Ok, Why does it matter? Why do you care so much? The episode wasn’t even about him.  
How come nobody complains about those two snobs from Sweet and Elite, They also could been easily taken out of the episode and nothing would change as the mane six minus rarity’s behavior were causing enough conflict.
 
Something tells me that hyping him up was the problem in here. Everyone expected everything to be tossed to the sidewalks for him to be devoloped and they were planning on doing the opposite.

I want Francesco Guccini to voice a pony, in the italian dub. Especially if said pony is the one voiced by “Weird Al.”
